[?] What do these two string mean???

I see that some rifles/sniper-rifles have these two string applied to them, now I know what it does when its a bolt action sniper rifle. But what does it do on a assault rifle??

ObjectTemplate.animation.useShiftAnimation 1
ObjectTemplate.animation.shiftDelay .05

Looks like I'm gonna have to find my answers somewhere else. The last two posts I made nobody answered them at all. So cheers for the help.
