Re: Medic kit
True but then you shouldn't be able to pick up your own medic kit if your medic dies. There is no reason that you should not be able to pick up an enemy medic kit due to this fact. It uses the same gun as the normal riflemen.

Re: Medic kit
The fact that we are able to pick up regular rifleman and specialist kits is already a huge concession by the dev team. I would like to be able to pick up medic kits, but its not a necessity .

Re: Medic kit
Multiple quick points:
1. I've read the devs say that if it were the MAs decision, we wouldn't be able to pick up ANY enemy kit. I can't be asked to find that post right now, I am lazy, haha.
2. If the DEVs let us use the medic ket, then those people who want to be able to use all enemy kits again will start complaining and using the whole "medic kit" argument to attempt to fuel their own argument.
3. Not EVERY first aid kit is the same, and there may not be the same supplies in the bag. Also, the instructions on the equipment would be in a different language that most soldiers could not read or comprehend.
4. You can still use an enemy medic kit to revive/heal you buddies, but you just can't carry it with you. If you run out of epipens, well, thats what the ammo bag is for(and is mostly used for except for AT weaponry and the likes): to resupply when you run low on ammunition or supplies.

Re: Medic kit
I was about to post the exact opposite suggestion.
Not being able to pick-up any medic kit at all.
The fact that anyone can get the kit on dead medic bodies leads to very high amount of revives, especially since the "5 minutes kits timers".
I understand it promotes intra-squad teamwork (don't get me wrong, I get more benefits than suffering from this -> I'm always revived more times than my kills are) but for the sake of gameplay/realism, I'd prefer to see the medic kit instantly disappearing from the ground (or laying like 5 seconds, so you can still request it on crates) so everyone and his mother can't be the medic anymore.
True medics would have to take care of their lives and stop playing like random grunts since their deaths would screw the whole squad.

Re: Medic kit
No its not that simple. In real life many of the medical equipment is different for each country and army and the generalization of epipens and the med kit is just a gameplay and simplification decisionWarnABro wrote:Be able to pick up each sides medic kit. They are the same kits and a medic knows how to use everything. Also tones down the aggro medic.
Also extremely true, most soldiers know some basic first aid but advanced medical care is entirely seperate training.killonsight95 wrote:no, not everyone is a trained medic in any army maybe some siple first aid but nothing more.

Yes, it was stated by Jaymz and multiple developers in various threads, this has been explained multiple times but often people seem to overlook it. Developers for the time being let you use what you can use in game as a compromise. I imagine in the future we will see it become more hardcore.Haji with a Handgun wrote:The fact that we are able to pick up regular rifleman and specialist kits is already a huge concession by the dev team. Re: Medic kit
the problem here is if you accidently TK your medic, your f****d. thats why they took away the TK penelty for when the medic is shot.Nitneuc wrote:I was about to post the exact opposite suggestion.

i dont see a need to change anything. if you need to revive a teammate with and enemy medic kit, you have 15 seconds to use it before going blind. you have another 15 seconds after your screen goes black before you start to take damage. thats more then enough time to revive him and start to heal him. its unlikely that you need more the 15 seconds to revive and completely heal your patient. in the event that you do, you can drop the kit and have him pick it up to finish healing himself.
