Bf2 editor forums are also useful, there are many more tutorials for general bf2 modding and using the bf2 editor.
Bf2 editor forums:
BF Editor Portal

The PR community forums mainly mainly have things related to PR, eg AAS flag layouts, spawn times ect.
PR Community Modding:
PR:BF2 Community Modding - Project Reality Forums

download link for Bf2 editor 1.3
Battlefield 2 Editor 1.3 Download, Battlefield 1943 Tools

EDIT: If you are running Vista or Win7
You must run the installer and the actual program in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
You may experience some lag when placing objects. This is solved by running photoshop before running the editor, photoshop is useful for modding and mapping anyway so its good to have.

Something like this, then? ;)

Anyway, moving this to the correct sub-forum. Good luck if you want to pick it up again!
