Initial contact drill:

Make sure you and your squad know where the enemy is.
If the squad leader doesn't use GRIT:
Group (1 section)
Range (200 metres etc)
Indicators (tree in the middle of the desert)
Type of fire (rapid (1 every 2 seconds) deliberate (1 every 6) depends really on the distance and your weaponry)
4:Win the firefight/ Supress the enemy
Place as much fire on the enemy as they are placing on you. Remember suppressive fire is not random sporadic fire. Its accurate and should kill targets. Hence the reason why they become suppressed, they are scared to put their head up from cover!!)
5:Attack
Approach: use of dead ground (Try to get cover from sight and from fire). Your flank should be stealthy!
Assault: rapid and aggressive. Then push through the enemy location if possible, if not hold your location (due to another contact far off or orders)
6:Re-group
If you left a fire support group behind make them come through the proven route (route through which you assaulted) to your defensive location.
Form the first half of the circle of defense with your assault team in the direction of uncovered ground.
Form the second half the circle with the other fire team.
PACEDO
Protection: Make sure your guys are in good cover
Ammo: replen ammo if possible (especially specialist equpiment eg LAT, grenadier, lmg etc)
Casualties: heal the wounded, revive the dead (woo for games
)Equipment: make sure you search the dead for enemy specialist equipment, its always insulting when enemy vehicles are destroyed by their anti-tank weaponry (: )
Dig in: set up fob if you want or use natural defense
Orders: wait for commander orders if you have one.
