Arrange By Name - Default?

Hey all,

Been away from my PC for a month and just got back, but for some really odd reason since I've been away my PC has decided that by default, it no longer wants to sort my icons by any sort of means, what ever folder I'm in when I'm in a browse window (like open file window, normal explorer windows seem to be fine) and every folder I go into I need to manually tell it to sort icons by name as they are all in just a random order...



It seems to be sorting by date crated or last modified or something for some odd reason...

Dose anyone know how I can get my icons to sort by name by default again? This is really starting to get on my nerves!

Isn't that solved by doing something like...

Sort by name
In the file-menu, click Extra > Options
In that window, on appearance, choose "set as current" or "apply on folders" or something.

Roughly translating it from Dutch to English, but should give you an idea. Does that help?

I'm sorry but I don't understand what your on about at all there

Also just encase there is any confusion, in the normal explore window everything is fine, everything is arranged by name or w/e I set it to by default, only in the browse windows when opening a file or loading a texture or w/e of any app is where this problem is.

There is a Windows Registry Key to change this...
but I forgot everything about it because I haven't dealt with this in years.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

The Key is ShellState, but sorry, forgot wtf the key values mean.
