The basic idea of this thread is to get everyone to share their thoughts about what lead to the events that a mpa represents, a good example would be how and why did the USMC end up attack the island on Op. Barracuda.

Of course a lot of the maps are self explanatory, for example Gaza, however maps like Silent Eagle and Muttrah City are not.



My personal one for Muttrah:

In September of 2015 the Americans have pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan completely, excluding the odd special forces operation. During the Americans exit of the countries, the Saudi armies marched into both Oman and Yemen capturing both Maqat and Al Hudaydah in 5 days, and within 9 days 90% of the resistance forces have crumbled. The USA go to the U.N. for "permission" to free both Oman and Yemen. During the deliberating period Egypt and Jordan join into the MEC.

Iraq, Israel and Syria's leaders call for help from MEPA, both Iraq and Syria part of a newly formed alliance made in 2013 to promote peace throughout Middle Eastern countries.
The U.N. then decide to disallow the freedom of Oman and Yemen in fear of its people being killed by the conflict.

With Lybia mobilising and putting many of its milt force on it's border with Egypt, and with fears of the complete loss of it's main oil supply the US army is once again deployed in Iraq and it takes control of the main front line operations as well as re-enforcing Syria's front lines and bunkers. Also a small group of the US Army of around 10,000 soldiers is sent to the borders of Israel. The US navy sends a invasion force, from it's small navy force patrolling the Red sea and Gulf of Aden, to the east of Oman, to pressurise the MEC to free Oman.
The MEC agree that the united Arab emirates holds vital resources for their aims, and they begin an invasion as well as sending a small force to protect it's eastern beaches of Oman.

The USA begin the invasion of Oman, using the small attack force to get a vital port to be able to supply from, they choose Muttrah to be the port of attack, the small city is plunged into chaos as a 13 large ships appear on the horizon, for this city October the 17 would be a day to remember. The US forces scramble to the shore while the small forces of the Saudi's moves into the city to get a foothold while their armour moves up from the back line after being bombed and shelled by the US navy.

Kashan Desert/Gaza:

While the Americans begin their attack on the small city word soon reaches the Generals to the north that war has begun and the armies of the MEC begin their attacks, while this happens a large uprising in Gaza by Hamas makes the IDF move a large amount of it's forces to deal with its internal problems leaving mostly US forces on the front line. As the two armies begin their attacks the US, with the head start, attack a ammunition bunker, however when they reach it they find it has been abandoned, they quickly try to take control but they are cut off quickly by a large MEC force consisting of mainly Egyptians' as they make their move to defend the valuable bunkers where they could hold out for and defend for a good couple of weeks once controlled.
