Civi vs. regular Soldiers

Hi,
I have a question about the endurance and speed of the civis. Could it be that they move slower and are earlier exhausted than a marine for example?
regards

They have less endurance/stamina than regular soldiers. I don't think they actually move slower though.

If you spawn as a normal insurgent and drop the kit, you will keep the soldier stamina, but you wont get the collaborator gadgets. You have to wait 60 seconds after dropping the kit to get martyr when getting shot.

It is 20 sec sprint vs 30 sec sprint.
Or around 100m sprint vs 150m sprint, if i remember correctly.

A soldier in his gear carry a weapon would most likely run slower than a civie in running shoes. So, even if we could slow down the civies, I don't think we should.

They should move faster, but have less stamina, because they are not carrying 30 pounds of equipment.

Its 2 minutes or 120 seconds to clear it up.

Chapter 5 of the PR manual: Kits Galore.
Page 24; Requestable Unlimited.
The
Unarmed kit can be used as an intermediate when swapping kits with another squad member. If an insurgent or Hamas player uses the unarmed kit he will be treated as a civilian after
one minute has passed.
So, one minute. Not two

Hell... 30 pounds are nothing... Soldiers carry at least 60 pounds!

You wouldn't ever be able to catch civis. This way, civis have to rely on friendly forces to protect them from the evil infidels.
Er, blufor.

Does this mean that if I just drop my kit (don't spawn in as a collaborator), and wait 60 seconds, I'll die as a martyr?

No, it just means that if you drop your kit and wait 60 seconds, you will gain the same status of a collaborator. You can die as a martyr and the usual stuff, but no rope, medic bag or epipen.
I think DEVs wanted to implement a different version of a civi so that Blufor would think twice about shooting a non-white shirt guy. Unfortunately it didn't stick so anyone doing that will most likely get killed, whether through instinct or not knowing if the 60 seconds have passed from the Blufor side.

Has anyone here ever tried to apprehend someone unarmed while carrying a combat load with body armour?
You're slower AND you have less stamina. Patrol order is a lot more than 30 pounds...

Yeah but civilians aren't as likely to run away when you've got a rifle trained on them.

You would be surprised what a civilian WILL do if you point a gun at him
And it makes sense that a civi would be faster that and fully armed soldier, i myself have 0 condition and when i have nothing on me and when i run from someone id without problem sprint 300 meters as well =P
But serriously, the civi needs the mobility advantage, not a big one, small enough to make him a bit more valuable, civis are excellent scouts and fast unarmed scouts would be a unique feature for OPFOR
My opinion wise, if a fully armed soldier runs at 1.0 speed, then the civi should move at a 1.15 or so speed, nothing drastic or maybe same speed as a armored soldier but give him a longer sprint time or a faster sprint recharge, something that will make the civi a bit more scoutish/realistic/civilianish =P
My aim would be that if a BLUFOR wants to capture a civi he has to be smart and not run after him with 30kg of stuff just waiting for the civi to run out of sprint so that he can catch up to him, in reality that civi would be possibly behind a 2,5 meter wall already =P
My 5 lipa xD

Depends on the ROE. It's not like the enemy hasn't been known to exploit it. Horrifically in some cases.

If they run, they're an enemy.

And most people freeze in that situation.
But, I don't think too many civilians are going to be outrunning infantry. Most civilians are not in shape, infantry trains to move around in their gear all the time you'd be surprised how quickly they can move.

It's a gameplay decision at the end of the day. Civilians are less trained, but don't carry a lot of stuff and likely haven't been on a long patrol all day.
But if you make them too fast, they'll just rarely ever get arrested unless shotgunned.
