Hi,
Having some trouble running PR on my laptop. The problem is that I usually port my laptop out to a 22" monitor running a 1680x1050 resolution, but my laptop only runs 1280x800. So when I try to start PR on my laptop (without the 22" monitor) the game doesn't get to the BSS loading screen and just closes out. Is there any way to change the resolution out of game so I can play PR?
Thank you very very much in advance.

Yes, you can manually edit the file that contains the resolution info.
I don't know how to do it.
I'm sure someone will come along and tell you which file.

Here is a tutorial on editing the file to change resolution though:

Go to Mydocs> Battlefield 2>profiles> Default > Video.con
Open that in Notepad, and change the part that says "VideoSettings.SetResolution 1680x1050@60hz" to whatever you want =].

Instead of manipulating the config file every time you could probably make two short cuts. One for with and and one without additional monitor.
