RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
So i myself have at times trouble aiming that thing, but thats my problem, anyway
My question would be does the RPG7 ironsight have a range indicator or something like that ?

Nope, just takes alot of practice, and more importantly: luck.

Yeah, I found if you whore the kit on an insurgency map you can become very proficient at it (including being able to take fairly good probability shots at blackhawk and certain kiowas). But then leave it a week and go back and the skill has perished back to normal. Bad times

Shooting in bigger distance then 50m, is 30%skill+70%luck.

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
Thats not fair, if you take time to aim and aim right it should be guaranteed hit up to 200, (dont aim directly like a rifle ofcourse). Beyond 250 might need some luck cause of (possible?) deviation even with aiming, although I got 300+ hits before.Damian(>>>PL wrote:Shooting in bigger distance then 50m, is 30%skill+70%luck.
Now what does confuse me is the SCOPED RPG-7... lots and lots of squares.

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
There was a tutorial video by a clan showing the different ranges and how to successfully strike with a LAT. I actually learned with that and I became much more proficient. Also, the longer the target is, the more settling time is needed.
Can anyone help me here? I think the video was made by NEW...

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
LAT, and RPG are different, becouse if you will wait enought long, LAT will go directly in to point(if you have much of experience you will be able to hit with lat anytching[once i shooted down Cobra from 600m by useing AT4]), but RPG is completly different story, with RPG even if you was waiting 8s you sitll have only 1/5 possibility that shell go there where you was aiming.

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
the RPG is accurate upto 150M in real life, even then remember it is unguided and can be affected by the wind etc.
The RPG in-game is very easy to use and you just need to get used to it and don't use it for anything over 200+ meters.

2. just like At4
3. especially when you have to defend in middle of nowhere on karbala, from stikers(sometimes there is no other option then have hope, sometimes you will have luck)

something like that...with red numbers indicating the aiming position if the target is that distance away (in meters).CoLdFiRe88 wrote:Now what does confuse me is the SCOPED RPG-7... lots and lots of squares.

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
What it lacks in accuracy it can make up in volume. Quantity has a quality all of its own.
It's not terrible at range.. It's just not lazer accurate. With enough practise in PR it is possible to get close enough to the target to either kill it or make it **** itself and reposition - If it repositions then it's given ground and you've won.
Mind you sometimes it ignores you and shoots you in the face..

2. Who said at4 is affected by wind? because they are both LATs?
3. I disabled a stryker on that very map cause i happened to be 300 meters away and fired anyway.
EDIT: thanks Eco, I checked it out ingame also. but I am thinking it might be wrong igname, and the point where target is 75m away is actually the top line where it says 1 on the right..
something like this:

Just in case anyone wasn't aware, the scopes rangefinders aren't accurate, devs are working on this for the next patch I believe.
(Some are, SPG-9 for example).

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
i tested extensively on silent eagle to get it right...still very unprecise. which position did you use? i went crouching, with 8 seconds settling time. then in the end i realized there's a bipod attached. hm... so maybe prone makes a difference!??
EDIT: @Mikemonster: no, actually i wasnt. that would explain the differences and the issues to get it right

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
hahahaha, speaking of the scoped RPG-HAT, I had a friend miss the rear of a tank at the range of 50m shooting downhill. I loled so hard. And the RPG does take a lot of practice, mostly because of the drop rather than the actual aim. Once, my RPG landed a feet away from the rear of an APC in West Fallujah at 200m.

I have a hard time waiting the full 6 seconds for it to settle. After that, it's pretty accurate.

RPG-7 is the most accurate AT weapon I am with, next to the AT-4 of course.

Re: RPG 7 ironsight Aiming ?!
i personally dont have trouble hitting things with the LAT kits but i still feel adjustable sights should be added. As we know all of them have them in real life, and we already know that it's possible. so why cant we have them set up similar to the UGLs?

This image is wrong. The sights ingame start from the middle of the screen.CoLdFiRe88 wrote:
