What objects are bullet penetrable?

I've been playing for a while now, but I was wondering? what is bullet penetrable? cause I feel the game is a little too easy sometimes in regards to cover, you shouldn't be able to hide from a tank shell just by hiding behind a cement wall. So what IS penetrable in PR and to what extent?

Not to sure: almost anything wooden is penetrable most times. The tan buildings on Asad Khal are all penetrable.

Only metal fences are penetrable. And that is only for small arms and vehicle coaxial machinegun.

Depends what caliber you are using. The buildings in Central Village on Silent Eagle are penetrable by .50cal. Corrugated aluminium fences can be pentrated by small arms, 25mm/30mm AP and HE; however, the HE rounds are unpredictable when they go through the fence.

BF2 old engine... a bucket on the ground or a small wooden fence will stop a tank dead.

a brick wall will cover you from anything except area attacks and JDAMS.

There are somethings that a bullet can go through and kill the guy on the other side, like the silver "tin wall" on muttrah.

...Many objects are penetratable, so you must distinguish between cover and concealment...

Well, vBF2 really only had these fences as "concealment". That, and vegetation.

PR has a few more object, like the Afghan building statics already mentioned, but still most things are bullet proof on most maps.

I think the T shaped buildings are also penetratable, atleast to 25/30mm rounds.

Area attack can be artillery or JDAM depending on faction and map, by JDAM i ment those dropped by jets.

Small Arms fire:
-Afghan Buildings
-Russian Apartments (The bunker-like one)
-Wooden plates (most wood-objects, even those shacks like on Kozelsk)
-Metal fence
-Some other stuff I don't have in mind right now

50. caliber weapons:
-Same as above
-Barrels
-I think the buildings on Kokan, not sure about that tho.
-Some other buildings like the Tripplets on Muttrah and the T-Shape or H-Shape (Three balcony buldings)

Take note, tank shells can't even penetrate metal fences/plates. JDAM, Garry/BR and C4 penetrates everything in a certain radius.

i have been able to shoot people trough trees.

Also dont mistake thin metal plate with jabal factory, no small arms fire penetrates that 1 cm thin metal plating it has on its sides

Nothing is more fun and epic then on iron eagle to order your squad to all open fire on a wooden house next to you where you saw enemie movement, 6 guys opening up = everone dead inside even if you dont see them.

Its what i expect of every future military shooters and what makes pr have so epic moments.

Basically anything that is "thin" model wise, like a thin bit of wood you can walk right onto the other side of, is most likley going to be penetrable.



If you really wanted to find out what objects where penetrable, you could search the material codes in all of the staticobjects and find out which ones have the penetrable materials assigned to them.

Oh I remembered the bunkers of Kashan Desert can be penetrated by the jet guns.

OR one guy toss a grenade in and the enemies inside also die but not many bullets will be spent.
