What graphic setting would increase performance most on fallujah if lowered?

Seriously I get like 25fps when looking at the city in fallujah, its very annoying when you look at the other way its 100fps liquid smooth then you turn around and its diashow. All the fun goes down the drain when fallujah loads on the server.

Does terrain setting affect weapon textures? Because I lowered both terrain and textures to medium, but the M16 looked like **** so I turned textures back to high, but its still porridge.

Some settings do not seem to force the recaching.
Try with clearing the BF2 cache.

The best setting for you to change is probably dependent on your bottleneck (whether it is the CPU or GFX card).
However I have played around with graphical settings on my previous PC and did not see changes in performance (except with AA, resolution and view distance).

What setting eases CPU usage the most? Always when FPS goes to the 30's my Phenom II 1090T @ 3,6GHz is screaming at 100% usage while GPU is still well below 50%, so the clearly the CPU is bottlenecking my performance.
