Re: Pilot Sprint
this suggestion really has something to it, but what ive been thinking on is just giving the pilots theyre pistols and knives back but they shouldnt be able to destroy fire-bases. now the problem to this is that the pilot can now just go and kill a enemy and use his kit to knife a FB, maby after kit request he wouldnt be able to destroy FBs at all untill he dies? maby a bid far fetched but its an idea. The pistol magazine amount should also be reduced to only 1 or 2 spare clips

Re: Pilot Sprint
The collaborator dies when he picks up a kit, and is also a spawn kit. But, if you can change the sprint according to the pickup kit, it should be done for other kits as well.snooggums wrote:I thought the basic BF2 game had different sprints for different kits, the insurgent Collaborator has less sprint, so I don't think that is the reason.

You can bunny hop even if you dont have sprint, so thats not really a valid argument.myles wrote:more sprint can lead to lots of bunnyhoping

DefenseLink News Article: Apache Pilots Save Comrades in Daring Rescue
I don't think pilots should have any more sprint, they should have reasonable kit with limited ammo.
Look forward to seeing a full range of carbines for all regular factions.
Pilots don't have much, but they should be able to stay as hidden as possible, make contact with comrades and hold out with the limited ammo/weapons they have until they can be evacuated.Welch had landed his Apache approximately 100 meters from the crash site. Armed with his 9 mm pistol and an M4 Carbine rifle, he set out to collect the downed pilots.
Welch contacted the pilots and asked if they were able to come to him themselves. Again it came over the radio that one of the pilots couldn't walk. They would need help getting out of their location.

Yea, you're right. I wasn't quite thinking at the time, and if anything I was thinking "well, they work out in Top Gun, and Top Gun's elevator's take 3 minutes to go up a 2 story building, so it can't be accurate at all"Elektro wrote:They need to be seriusly physical

They should fall under as Civis in the RoE if knifed -10 tickets for giving intel on a upcoming attack that the mec / etc, would then win knowing it was coming -10 for the intel give them the same runing as a ins civi.

Re: Pilot Sprint
1. You're not going around running if you eject from a crashing plane/helicopter.
2. The possible explosion and/or other conditions do not enhance your stamina.
3. Procedure is to rather stay and hide instead of run back

Re: Pilot Sprint
Well yeah, thinking about it now, theres no need for more stamina, I'd rather pilots be faster than other kits to get away from exploding planes and such, until we get planes and heli's that don't blow into pieces.
