Its not that i dont like your mod. I never said that.
The problem is we have too many "Aces" in PR.
In start of every round is like a massive migration to the airports.
Team kills, nerves etc just for a jet or a helicopter.
I just dont like the idea to give them something more "attractive" or powerfull.
If it was you, Alex or someone else who has respect for the other players its OK.
But not every monkey with a joystick.
I understand your point.
Yes Tactical Skill > Technical Skill (Most of the times)
And yes as an idea sound brilliant.
A tactical shooter which needs more use of braincase than fingers is something nice.
But you have to understand that the "presentation" you made of your mod has nothing of your rule.
I mean .. look at all the videos posted.
Tanks, planes, planes, planes and planes.
I know that is the first part of your mod. And you have ideas for infantry.
But right now how they can attract a tactician?
Mostly will attract monkeys i said before.
Yes in the future they will be disapointed and leave but not before they give to your work a name like "Banana mod"
You probably dont care. You propably complete this mod even if you play it alone.
I respect that. I always respect men who dont sacrifice their pleasure for others' pleasure.
Thats why i am telling you all these.
Maybe i look like an enemy but i am not.
Nemus. We're doing a larger scale test this weekend (Friday and Saturday at 18:00:00 GMT) . Please come and try out the mod with other people.
But since you ask, I think that people from the sim community will be attracted to this because the systems we have give similar capabilities. A flight simulator is limited by the fact that there are no other humans in the world to interact with, so all that technical skill is for nothing. But give a tanker, a troop, or a pilot a chance to interact with his counterparts and that makes it much more interesting. So sure its less technically realistic than a flight sim, but I think tactically it is more realistic because of the addition of the human interaction. I mean in a flight sim, immersion is almost nil because you are perpetually aware that majority of anything in the world is an AI. In games like arma and pr you are much less aware that you are in a game because you are communicating with other humans in real time.
