We need a Mumble only server (when it's out of PR beta)

the server as full 64/64, in the mumble channel was 75+ people, and some guy out of game goes "so what team are we all on?"

i mean come on 1 + 1 work it out!


but yeh when PRs mumble gets sorted it definitely has to be a must use

NOO!!!! do not turn off bf2 comms!!! to me, mumble is normal talking without radio and the quality justifies that. the bf2voip system has bad quality and latency like a radio would and it is only tuned to your squad mates and it is a way for the commander to talk to individual squads when he doesnt need to use the mumble channel.

Yeah, with some kind of whisper function like when volume of your voice gets over pre-set treshold you talk normal as now, but below the range is limited to 2 (+-1 meter). Then you can simply turn off BF VOIP, and there is no problemst for armours since they can get their own channels and talk in global there, but when in cooperation, they use positional.

But the bf2 voip has that 'radio filter' aka bad quality and lag which makes it sound like a real radio. you can hear it over people mumbling around you also since its louder and stands out above mumble.
