Now, the way I see it, is that Project Reality is a realistic mod, and a very good one, however, it seems to have delusions of grandeur (excuse my spelling), thinking that it is Portraying utterly massive battles when it's not. 32 people on each side roughly equals one platoon and a few supporting vehicles.
I'm also not sure if these suggestions are possible, but I think most of them are.
So, here are my suggestions:
1. Commander should be given a commander Vehicle, which can only be driven by him. This will be an armoured Land Rover/Humvee/Jeep/Technical with no arnament. He may only accsess the command screen from here.
2. Officers should have a part of their weaponary which is a Radio, this Radio must be out for them to use the commander VoiP (Default V)
3. The Bigger maps (Kashan Desert, Battle for Qinling etc.) Should be removed completely.
4. The Number of assets should go down greatly on some maps, I think the Al BAsrah map has the right amount of Assets, 1 Heavy Armour, 1 IFV, 1(or is it 2?) APCs and 1 Heli, and a few Landi and logistics trucks, Muttrah City for Eg. Has waaay too many Helicopters on the American side, there should be no more than around 3 including attack helicopters for maps with Helicopters.
5. Only 1 Sniper per team at any one time.
6. A few training maps with areas for everything from Urban fighting to a bombing range, all similar in design with each of the different Factions on (This is to make up for losing the larger maps).
7. More Emphasis on Tactical play, rather than just "Rush the Flag" like it generally is atm. Maybe Removing flags all together or something.
The Ones in Italics are the ones I'm not sure about.
The Majority of these changes would make the mod into a more realisic show of Platoon vs Platoon Skirmishes, which emphasises tactical play, while still keeping to the main core of Project Reality. I think.
