The M2HB and MK19 are internally stored in the turret. There is no reason to use other models since you only need to model the barrels.

Re: [Vehicle] AAVP7A1
so im curious if this will replace the LAVs on maps that have the LAVs launching from the carriers. because if i remember correctly, that is not the way LAVs are deployed. I dont think they are supposed to cross oceans.

Re: [Vehicle] AAVP7A1
There is reason, mainly due to performance but there wouldn't be much of a increase/decrease since it is only really the barrel that can be shared.Solid Knight wrote:The M2HB and MK19 are internally stored in the turret. if it was included in PR then it would most likley replace the LAV on Amphibious Assault maps since the LAV is not a AAV (Amphibious Assault Vehicle) like the AAVP7A1. The LAV-25 is amphibious but its more designed to cross small puddles of water rather than travel across large stretches of sea with large waves and land on a beach under fire.charliegrs wrote:so im curious if this will replace the LAVs on maps that have the LAVs launching from the carriers. because if i remember correctly, that is not the way LAVs are deployed. Re: [Vehicle] AAVP7A1
Here's a little contribution from myself.
I had managed to acquire a legitimate training manual from an individual I know in real life. I had decided to take it upon myself to make use of my resource and send it as a gift to your efforts. The below references of the AAV7 are quite up to date within the last year. These pictures have been actually taken from the training manual that I had scanned from my desktop and slapped them into .bmp's (but are converted to .jpeg's because of Photobucket) and placed them here.
If you need the higher resolution .bmp's for quality, feel free to ask and I'll send them to you if you're interested.

Actual reticule sight appearance.
1. This is my high quality version of the actual sight reticule. I had spent at least an hour or so cleaning up this picture in MS Paint.
<Note: The "Center Gravity" or "C.G." icon in the "Bore sighting reference" picture below is not part of the sight. It's part of the sighting calibration procedure for accuracy purposes. I had removed this "C.G." icon so that the sight appeared in it's most realistic form. The individual I know had informed me that the sight itself has black numerical values and black lines (to the best of my knowledge, once again, feel free to ask and I may get in contact with the person to ask of his first-hand experience.>

2. Sight reticule gunner perspective and ballistics.
As you can see according to the sight that the M2 Heavy Machine Gun and the MK19 automatic grenade launcher have a convergence of up to about 300 - 350 meters or so.
After 300 - 350 meters the convergence begins to part ways. However, seeing as the Gunner is pretty much looking down the M2 Heavy Machine Gun, he doesn't have to make much of any adjustments as the bullets drop relatively straight down the center axis of the aiming sight. However, the MK19 grenade launcher begins to lose it's convergence after 300 meters and it's arc of fire begins to cross into the right side field of view. Thus, the gunner actually has to use the right side of the aiming sight to engage targets rather than using the center axis.

I originally thought it was quite odd as I was asking myself:
"Wait... Is the sight in the manual depicted backwards? The .50 caliber is on the right side and the MK19 is on the left... Why would the MK19 be crossing into the right side of the gunners field of fire?... Ahh, convergence... Thus the bullets cross at distances past the point in which they've been sighted to. Especially if the MK19's barrel is situated to the left of the gunners position and it's line of fire will cross into the right field of view."
So yes, everything is in order.

Training manual references.
1. Bore sighting reference.

2. This is a picture of the sight being depicted in engaging a target for sighting purposes only.

3. This is the simulated view of a gunners perspective.
<Note: The sight itself in this version is depicted as a basic reference and does not show the high detail of the actual sight markings. The purpose of this is to simply signify that the gunner does in fact look through a circular aiming viewpoint while using the cross hairs.>

Hope this helps you, enjoy.

Rhino if you see me on xfire plz contact me, got a 2 small things i need to discuss about the design of the vehicle before i begin optimization because the vehicle is as good as done.

I see still alot of stuff wich need to be optimized, alot of needless edges, wich can be just removed, the way edges are connecting between vertecy`s in some parts of the modelis wrong.
My example of what needs to be optimized , to make a clean model, there is alot more details that need to be optimized ,but if i gonna draw all my notices on this picture you`ll not understand what is what.

But as geometry , model looks nice.
