I think it is because there is an 'overload' of people spawning there, basically it would cause far too many players to be able to spawn on a point at once.
I wonder why it happens so badly on that one map though. Everytime I play it, the "frontline" spawn is totally red and I just gotta keep clicking and hoping to catch it for the half a second that it turns white...
Yeah, I know, but you do get idiots that 'insta-prone' as soon as they spawn to avoid incoming fire from an APC, so they're effectively blocking everyone else.

Suppose, but they are effectively wasting time, especially mine. I don't mean that as a selfish comment, but who wants to sit for a guy/object to move?
If the spawn point is red, that's effectively telling me there's a reason that there's some guy sitting there. Either he's AFK or he's defending himself meaning there's trouble. I go to the next spawn point back with a kit I know can help the situation and advance on the position. Really the red points are a great help.
