Anyway, people of PR, jump on the RT server, we still need to fill it up, PW is mumble
And the teamwork, is goood!
Play with us! Now!
yes, but it could be significant time until the versions of mumble with such gameplay altering factors are released to the public.TheFish wrote:i like having the single channel and imo it would be even better if the enemy could hear you when using regular voip too, you're still talking right? only difference really is that you're talking into a radio. unfortunately i'm sure this can't be changed. did i hear they're working on automatically muting and deafening players who are dead? if they manage it that will solve your problem of dead enemies listening to your plans.
We've had around 70 people in the mumble channel at once, several times this week. We were almost full early last night, but once the R-COM event starting time approached, several people typed up "lets go", and it kind of killed the server.Mathisen wrote: Would be awesome if we got 64/64 once xD (all using mumble)
But then what will you use as a long range radio if your squad members die?spawncaptain wrote:I'm all for completely disabling ingame VOIP because people still talk over it so the enemy can't hear it. I've found that when we used mumble for intra (inside) squad comms, the level of organisation was so much higher because you could here the SL shout orders AND that medic next to you tell you to cover that corner.

Yup. And you can talk about that before the fighting starts - according to someone on this forum, that's what RPs represent.Fighter wrote:Press L.

I got a problem with that...I don't have a mic, so am I screwed?McLuv wrote:It's technically mumble only whenever it's passworded. If someone doesn't have mumble, report them so that other mumblers can get on without having their space taken by a non-mumbler.

on this server, probably tbh. I think as long as you can hear on mumble you're ok...but I'm not sure what the official ruling on RT is.GDICommand wrote:I got a problem with that...I don't have a mic, so am I screwed?
Get a micGDICommand wrote:I got a problem with that...I don't have a mic, so am I screwed?

Well i don't use mumble for main inter squad comms, only when crewman/messing around or talking to blue guys do i ever use it. I once found a cache because a whole squad of insurgents were blabbing on mumble.spawncaptain wrote: Edit: This time I had a squad where nobody was talking on mumble because they didn't want the enemy to hear them. Come on, why would you join a mumble server and not use it? That's BS.
i've been playing on the server while being unable to speak and people were ok with it, although i have medical reasons! i'm talking now but i could probably do better. but yeah get a mic, i was feeling pretty left out sometimes.GDICommand wrote:I got a problem with that...I don't have a mic, so am I screwed?
And that's the problem: People want to take advantage of not using mumble on a mumble server. If we disabled vanilla VOIP, people would HAVE to use it because of text messages being really ineffective.[R-COM]Cheditor wrote:Well i don't use mumble for main inter squad comms, only when crewman/messing around or talking to blue guys do i ever use it.
