looks pretty decent, but the body proportions are off.
if you take a look and compare you can see that the hip area is way to small compared the chest the width is simply off, you can see that the musculatory of the back is off (the muscles over the shoulder blades are way to wide and therefore the indent over the spine looks off.
so try and fix those small issues and the sculpt should look much better, looks pretty decent already but those things just stood out.

yeah it is praxxen, you rib cage doesn't deform like that (this one is almost like a V when a normal rib cage is much more like a box.

good work on it though

@ motherdear, i checked out what you had mentioned and the only thing making the V shape in the ribcage are the latissimus dorsai... the ribcage itself is kinda square but those lats are huuuuge lol... as far as the waist goes i was trying to go for a huge look so i brought out the shoulders a bit too far. I guess i went a little crazy...

@ motherdear again.... to fix this should i bring the shoulders in or make the waist wider? or do a combination of both...i checked the muscle diagram and the lats do run under the deltoid muscles up into the armpit-ish area lol.... gimme some more feedback man...although this was just me farting around with anatomy and proportions to learn. I doubt anything will ever happen to this model but still, it's good to know

crits incoming take cover ;)

Upper body:
Make the lats less wide at the shoulder area (no need to draw in the shoulders)

Make the head wider (look at the back angle and you can see that it doesn’t fit to the rest of the upper body.

Next make the elbow joint a bit bigger to make it flow better and give him that muscular look a bit more.

Lower body:

Make the hips wider (compare the butt checks to the shoulders and you can see that the upper part of the body is muscular and the lower part of the body is athletic)

try and get a medium between these two by making the lower body more bulky (thighs seem fine but needs fine tuning when widening the hips obviously)

A few other things I noticed was that the stomach area needs to be a bit wider above the hips (if you look at anatomy pictures you can see that the sides of the stomach is almost flat on males but that around the stomach it curves in slightly http://static.bigstockphoto.com/thumbs/ ... 411004.jpg

The 2 last things are regarding two of the joints, specifically the hip to leg joint and the knee joint.

The knee joint needs mass width wise to make it stand less out (stand up and look down you leg and you will notice that it is almost straight because of fat/muscle etc) and from

what I can see from these pics is that you should consider looking at the bottom of the knee itself because there seems to be a rather large jump in the pictures

Regarding the hip joint just add a bit more mass on the side of it (can be seen near the butt cheeks where it’s too muscular (looks like he is flexing constantly or that it’s just bone)

Hope you like the crits m8, and btw another thing I would advice you to do is to head over to game-artist.net and make a [wip] thread because they are simply amazing at spotting these things. (or take a look in their daily sculpts to see other anatomy) :D

hope you can use the crits m8 for future projects or this one.

compare your knees to these pics

Image
Image

muscle names: Muscular System | Muscular System Image

you have gotten the calf right on the back side (you can see the muscles really good looks great) but you need the mucles that are on the front side of the leg to make it look more real, at the moment you need to add a bit more muscle to the side so that the joint isn't just pure bone but got some muscles to it straightens out more on the side (at the moment it looks like a prosthetic leg at the knee joint, because it is so small width wise try and define the tibialis a bit more and pull it up. look at the different pics i just put up and compare the muscle flow there and on your model :)
