Type of ammo check...
I don’t know if something like this has been mentioned and if it has I apologize.
I understand PRMM is reality of course, and to have a little number in the bottom corner telling you how much ammo u lave left would be stupid as it would be impossible to keep track of.
But however, there has been many of times I have run out of ammo in combat when I thought I had plenty left, so maybe if its not loads of hassle but I'm guessing it might you could implement some way of checking ammo, my I idea would be to press a key and it pulls clip out/opens chamber/ or checks ammo belt for 2 - 3 seconds then it tells u how much ammo is left, or perhaps it tells you nothing, but the amount of bullets you see in that period of time is the actual amount of bullets you have left, so say if the clip is 2/3 full and its a 30 bullet clip, you actually do have 18 - 22 bullets lets say.
I think this would be a cool feature and would help in real tough fire fights!

lol maybe i went too far with my idea, whem i imagine something i just go for it, however much it would be nice to have, i can understand the amount of work needed for it. It's jsut a matter of somehow getting a rough idea of how much ammo is left in the clip as appose to not knowing! It's not so much in firefights i would like to check, so i will reput it this way, say you kill 1 or 2 enemies and your in the rush mood so you dont take a note of how many bullets you have shot for all you know, you have a good half a clip left, so you get to the flag go prone and get ready to shoot the enemie you see, but when you come to shoot them you only have 2 bullets, your screwed!!! It would be nice if some type of ammo check could be implemented in the game, maybe not even an animation of pulling the clip out, but a button that actually reads the exact amount but returns a number 5 bullets below of 5 bullets above, some type of guess, still giving the idea of real life....
Maybe im going too far, but it would be a nice feature!

The best way to know how many bulliets you have is to count how many you fire. This is what R/L soliders do. When you pick up anouther guys gun ect allways start with a fresh reload.:iGi:. Also reload before you know you are going to get into a fire fight ect. Like when assaulting a flag, before you step round the corner just think a sec, and start with a fresh mag
shame that you drop the mag on the ground in stead of put it back into your pouch so you can use the remaining bulliets later on thou

Thats one of the reasons i also suggested this because i have been in the predicament before where i have relaoded after shooting a couple of people and after firing a fair few rounds off, and i just change the mag only to realise im on the last mag...'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino']shame that you drop the mag on the ground in stead of put it back into your pouch so you can use the remaining bulliets later on thou![]()
I know what you mean about RL, but in this game its hard to keep track of the rounds as easily as you say

Stick with an ammo guy and you'll always be fine. Realistically with the weapons in game currently, it's impossible to tell how much ammo you have on the go. You'd need to count the bullets manually, and that's not really something you can do on the fly. Count how many you've shot, after a while you'll get a feel for how many you've done without needing to count, I know real soldiers must do it because I've almost gained a sixth sense for how much ammo I have left. Most classes have 4 mags at least for their rifles, you should never need more than that if you're playing near your squad.
