RKG stands for Ruchnaya Kumulyativnaya Granata (Handheld Shaped Charge Grenade). When the pin is pulled and the grenade is thrown a four-panelled drogue parachute is deployed by a spring. This parachute stabilizes the grenade in flight and ensures that the grenade strikes the target at a 90 degree angle, maximising the effect of the shaped charge.
You got the highlighted part backwards. I would say that IRL it is No effect or Full effect. It is in PR that tanks, vehicles and soldiers have health bars even though they are invisible. IRL when a tank or APC is hit with an AT weapon it is usually disabled or survives with a little dent in the armor. How does that tiny dent makes the tank loose half its "health"? Answer: It doesnt. Unless the next grenade hits the same tiny spot, about he size of a coin, which is highly unlikely, it doesnt matter how many RKG-3 you hit it with. Maybe if the sights are hit it could create complications but it would not take out the vehicle.Human_001 wrote:Ok... I was NOT saying that RKG-3 should Defunkt a Tank with 1 hit. But for reality sake it have to do some damage. In real life its not 'have effect or have no effect' like in a game. You can even cut through prison cell steel bar using Dental floss.
I threw 15 RKG-3 to scimitar and it has no effect.
And about blast direction thing, when ever I throw RKG-3 my character throw it with handle downward.
In another words when my character throw RKG-3, it flies in shape of 'T' with explosive facing up and handle down.
But in real life, there is a parachute deploying from the handle when thrown to make explosive side face down. So current "not having any effect because of angle you throw at" isn't really the way you should simulate the RKG-3.
I also think some armor are not coded properly or something is glitching and not taking any damage if these armors are ever suppose to take damage from RKG-3.
