Re: Add Attack Huey to Operation Archer
A tow could be an Idea. Think of it there is no way to fire at any cache locations from the main. And one or two in strategic positions will scare the **** out the techis.

I'd rather see a few LAV-III's, since Canadians will get Archer and they actually use it quite often.

I like how people still requesting overkill vehicles for Coalition(apaches,LAVs,Attk hueys,LBs) ,especially on Archer.I think they forget that half of the time they'll be on the Taliban side dealing with them.(Dealing=getting killed as soon as u spawn until your HideO/RP/Cache is destroyed)
I'd really love to see u guys trying to defend 2 caches in town in archer, against one of the mentioned vehicles above, preferrably against an Apache or an LAV positioned on the opposite hill...

Tbh I think even that will still be over Powered... there's no reason to change as Technicals on the Surrounding Hills is a poor excuse when technicals are so easy to destroy from the base itself using a humvee for e.g. or even AT 4 or HAT!

How LAV is an overkill? With proper ambush tactics those LAV's won't even get near any village.Kruder wrote:I like how people still requesting overkill vehicles for Coalition(apaches,LAVs,Attk hueys,LBs) ,especially on Archer.I think they forget that half of the time they'll be on the Taliban side dealing with them.(Dealing=getting killed as soon as u spawn until your HideO/RP/Cache is destroyed)

Try: Big Gun - Open Hills. The LAV can climb the hills so how the hell do you ambush one? It doesn't need to go into the village so with infantry Support wouldn't get ambushed...sakils2 wrote:How LAV is an overkill? With proper ambush tactics those LAV's won't even get near any village.

Try: IED's near the Main base exit - with RPG-7 gunners and a guy with ammo.Herbiie wrote:Try: Big Gun - Open Hills. The LAV can climb the hills so how the hell do you ambush one? It doesn't need to go into the village so with infantry Support wouldn't get ambushed...
Where do I state it needs to get into village?

I also dont think an LAV will be overpowered... on Ramiel those strykers get owned by technicals all the time...

Tbh if the Taliban manage to get IEDs right otuside your base your LAVs deserve to be blown up o.0sakils2 wrote:Try: IED's near the Main base exit - with RPG-7 gunners and a guy with ammo.

EITHER they respawn straight away = no time for IEDs or the APC squad is waiting around main and therefore should be defending it.

Re: Add Attack Huey to Operation Archer
I have had this before... 6v6 on basrah, people from both teams screaming "omg how can you use the tank with so little people its just unfair".
It took me less than 5 mins to get big red and slap it into the back of that tank....
It really isn´t hard to hide/take out blufor assets, just people for some reason don´t get it. If there is an LAV covering a village, you gtfo and hide, none of this popping your head out again and again to look or running around...

Re: Add Attack Huey to Operation Archer
if they put a Stryker in Archer, the only thing it should do is to stay in main and defend it...
either an RPG can easily blow it up because of the open spots in the map...

Erm, who stated that the LAV's will spawn straight away? And the APC's , most likely, still use roads to get around, thus the ambushers don't even need to get near the main base exit.

Dude, you like blew my mind. I did not know that, I always wondered how the hell others get those IED's! You set me free from the not knowing that syndrome.

The APC squad doesn't need to be in the APC
and therefore should be defending the main exits.
Also APCs can go Off Road easily.
Yes only Combat Engineers get IEDs so there aren't many num nuts.
It'd be nice if you thought for two seconds before you typed.
Also you're pretty rude against some people on a forum because they have different opinions from you
