Normal radio messages via the commo rose (T/Q) seem to be at an disadvantage compared to VoIP communications, since the enemy can hear you saying "Thank you" from 5 miles away(dramatization), where as you can plot your evil world domination plan right behind his back without him noticing.
What i therefore propose is to make VoIP communications audible to the enemy. I'm pretty sure it won't be possible to have the enemy hear exactly what you're saying, so some sort of generic radio static/chatter sound should be used instead.
Every time you press the VoIP button, it also triggers this sound that is audible to people around you just like ingame radio messages.
This might help clear the VoIP channel a bit, since the enemy 2 feet away will be noticing you calling for a medic, no matter what way you use.

Everything regarding voip is hardcoded.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

agree, but already suggested too. i know I did, of course I wanted the sound to be "Mine" repeatedly as long as you are speaking....blend wrote:Normal radio messages via the commo rose (T/Q) seem to be at an disadvantage compared to VoIP communications, since the enemy can hear you saying "Thank you" from 5 miles away(dramatization), where as you can plot your evil world domination plan right behind his back without him noticing.

I know of mumble. Wouldn't it be possible to just have the button do the radio message then after that activate VoIP? I'm not trying to interfere with the VoIP system itself, just what happens when you press the button. It would be a remapping of sorts.

its general consensus that all aspects of VoIP are hardcoded.

I think I also suggested something like this once. It'd be great if it was possible, but I don't think so, sadly.
