Thanks for the detailed feedback. You make a lot of very good points. I will probably end up going back to an earlier version, and see about fixing those areas you mentioned. And try to pay more attention to these things on any future models I make.

Car paint shader(s) I worked on a bit last night after reading up on some CG lighting and shader theory.
Model is a personal character project I am working on whenever I have some spare time.

I've spend a lot of time animating how it opens and is attached to the body (heavily inspired from Starcraft 2 trailer, Ironman, Transformers 1)
When I have replaced some more of the placeholder geometry I will post up a little video of the chest piece being attached, the helmet opening (very complex piece of animation there haha), lower leg pieces + boots opening and the left arm piece folding out its wolverine claws

Hey Z that looks pretty sweet look forward to the vid
This is my latest effort at a realistic face. All done in 3dsmax, I know I could still improve on the ears and eyebrows...

Are there any specific models of vehicles/weapons/characters that the PR team is in need of? I would like to contribute.

you could always re-model a vanilla asset. As it is the intention (from what I've gathered) to replace all vBF2 assets with better ones for PR use.snake-doc wrote:Are there any specific models of vehicles/weapons/characters that the PR team is in need of? I would like to contribute.

Had lots of fun sculpting this one in Blender. You can see the finished image Here
edit: Hmm, not sure imageshack's doing its job. Can anyone recommend and good place to upload pics?
