Works well in other games, and lets face it, this is a reality mod ... there are not 20 Snipers in a team of 32 people. Its rare in PRMM that you get "Sniper Teams" but it does happen. And as much as many of you selfishly always want to be a sniper, it really ruins the game for others when there are too many. Class limits are only necessary in PRMM for snipers, if and when they fix the accuracy. I wasnt suggesting they limit any of the other classes.

Its not anyones automatic right to be a sniper, it needs to be regulated in order for the game to be fun (if and when the sniper is fixed)

Realistic no , fun yes.
I can recall playing on a snipers only server way back in the BF1942 days.
All likeminded people on 1 server not ruining other peoples game. :-D

but its not realistic that the first 3 people get on the server should be able to sniper cant we have somthing like the commander, where people are desiganted marksmen. and if the want to become sniper they have to apply they same way the commander is chossen

I have been playing sniper a LOT lately. I frankly don't see what your complaints are any more. in .25 I would have been with you dogging the game and the mod but now these guns are super powerfull and display great accuracy. I would HIGHLY suggest getting a buddy and creating a local server and figuring out how each weopon shoots.

Yah, see thats what we mean by "Lottery" Ballistics. Test with a friend and find that aimimg 2" to the left and 1" up gets you a kill sometimes? I've done this before with BF and BF2. Its not consistent and its not consistent in a very unsatisfying way. The fact is that talking realistically, you are shooting at max 300 metres and as far as I know wind etc is not modelled in BF2, (correct me if Im wrong). 7.62 x 54R would hardly be affected at that range unless it was blowing a gale.

Im not really complaining .... I love PRMM and I really don't snipe much anyway. Im just putting my thoughts out there as are others in this thread. As its a team mod there would just be better ways to integrate Snipers into the game. That is of course my opinion. On the other hand, a realism mod really doesn't benefit from 1/3 of the team being snipers.

I nor my spotter have ANY problem engaging and killing targets at 350M in game (CP ABADAN). I will admit that from time to time (not very often) the first shot will miss but the second shot is always a killer. Life is good when there are two snipers working together on comms killing like it is going out of style.

Spotters are awesome! One on the rifle scope (shooter) and one on the binocs (spotter). I had a spotter on the same squad telling me where the shots were landing at 300m so I knew exactly how to aim. I had the M24 so that made it even better. It's a lot better though when your spotter is a spec-ops because then you have someone w/a good weapon to defend your little nest just in case someone gets lucky and stumbles upon it.

Really I find it hard to belive that you could actually ajust for a random deviation.

As for spotters these would be nice but I dont know many people who want to spend their time staked out with a sniper.

In the teamwork section snipers are just like everything else they can have a valuable effect on team if used correctly. I was playing on muttra and the LB piolit put me down on the water tower. I was able to talk my squad into the park and pick the 5+guys off the rooftops who would have taken out my squadmates.
