Re: Hit reg is screwed
My hitreg has been great on bigD lately RHYS... iiNet also reduced our pings to about 40ms from 110 by changing the routing to go straight to/from Adelaide rather than route through Sydney, so it's great in that regard as well.
Some days are shocking, but that's BF2. Make sure you're not getting any packet loss up/down on your end, as that will severely impact upon your personal hit rego, but as I said from playing over the last week, I have not noticed particularly bad rego.
That being said, today there was a HAT guy standing on the top of a hill on kashan, Frenzal and a few of the bD boys + me were in tanks... all THREE tank gunners used their auxiliary gun (7.62 I think) and he stood there taking about 20 shots before actually registering one and dying. If I have time I'll stick up a quick vid of it on youtube... but I gotta finish the ladder finals code first so that the 10v10 matches can be finished once and for all

Once PR2 comes out, all your problems will be solvedRHYS4190 wrote:Bf2 got the worst hit reg iv ever seen in a game, yet since this 1.50 patch has come out it now so bad for me, i have to unstall PR and BF2 after a few uses, just to get my hit reg to work because if i don't i ether get 1-3 or 1-5 shot actually registering a hit.
Im wondering if things are this bad for every one else?.

yeah i dont get that, eg if your using an acog m16, either your looking down the scope or not, first shot, taking range into account is gonna hit that point bang on, wether you were moving or not? or does the sight and barrel move independently of each other?[R-DEV]Deer wrote:In PR you have to wait few seconds while you aim your gun to actually hit there where the gun is aiming at, else bullets are not going to hit exactly there where you are aiming at. Also if you walk and aim same time, you aint gonna hit anything.

Deviation is a huge part of PR. Why change such an awesome system?funkyriver wrote:yeah i dont get that, eg if your using an acog m16, either your looking down the scope or not, first shot, taking range into account is gonna hit that point bang on, wether you were moving or not? or does the sight and barrel move independently of each other?

you are testing coordination, cover and teamwork, hand eye coordination "testing" makes games arcadeish automatically on multiplayer.
