The F-15's are usually not permitted to fly past 10pm or so, but they sometimes to take off after midnight for training exercises near the coast. The GA and Commercial air traffic isn't as bad either, most non-military aircraft depart (when weather permits) from the runway heading that goes opposite the city. Besides, the whole town has become used to the noise and generally doesn't mind it. I think I sleep through most of it anyways.Sniper_dog14 wrote:Sleep much?
Basically, the issue from jet aircraft isn't when they are flying low and slow, but when they are ripping overhead at a fast rate such as during takeoff. When those AB's are burning, the roar can be felt just as bad as it can be heard. It's not really suppressive, but can be quite annoying when trying to talk on the phone or radio.
