Putting rain in pr
FH2 2.25 just got released and it has a new map with rain, and it works pretty well. Any chance of rain in pr?

Re: Putting rain in pr
is it real rain or does it go horizontal when you look up?
I suspect its their old rain, but if it isn't thats cool.
Combined Arms uses a mapper placed particle effect to put rain in maps and it works very well, though it eats in to the particle limit.
And coupled with a long gradient fog on the map it looks fantastic, the 7 gates on CA got a whole new lease of life with a whole new ambience.

Oh man, if this is achieved, it would make a map look so intense
but true, I don't think the rain in FH2 is actually rain, but just horizontal lines coming on to your screen

Well, he is suggesting to put FHs rain, so i wouldnt say that its a complete resuggestion
I belive every one would love to see some rain with liveable graphics, so i would think i speak for every one when i say that if its possible, and good looking do it

My install of FH2 2.25 has just failed but some friends of mine are playing it right now. They have informed me that it is 2D rain that does fall sideways when you look up.
Combined Arms rain with tweaks is a better option.

would it be possible to change it as you look around like if you look 40 degrees then it comes more towards you and when you look up its at 90 degree angle to you so there are different animations? or is that hardcoded? or very hard to code one or the two but it doesn't sound simple

I think its just part of the player's hud on FHkillonsight95 wrote:would it be possible to change it as you look around like if you look 40 degrees then it comes more towards you and when you look up its at 90 degree angle to you so there are different animations? or is that hardcoded? or very hard to code one or the two but it doesn't sound simple
the particle effect version on CA works correctly with drops falling from the effect generator above the player heading directly downwards no matter where you look.
Edit, I just wanted to add, I think EoD were to first to use this rain effect from FH2, Its been around for over a year I'm sure, so please consider that.

Re: Putting rain in pr
Doesn't the rain (both in FH2 and CA) come through buildings as well? If it's a particle effect/HUD element i would imagine it would, which would be quite a flaw. It's been some time since i played CA though and i haven't got FH2 2.25 so i could as well be wrong.

the rain effect in CA is mapper placed affecting a specific radius, this means that you can arrange them around enterables buildings.

Then just have rain on maps like Ghost Train.killonsight95 wrote:^that could get quite tedious in a city
