In Real Life is not an "Excuse", I use what i have been train to do as reference, since Canadian soldiers are some of the best trained in the world, i think we can beleive that what CF learn us is the best way of doing thing.

You do realise that only officer carry 9mm even in PR. And if somone (an enemy ) turn the corner just double tap him and continu with you're bizniss. The "Awesomeness" of something do not count as a ref for R-Dev.


You guyz look like kids, knife its a tool thats it, stop arguing, its a DAMN TOOL. Make me remember on the A.A. forums when people where crying for knife... Anyway, i just hope we will be playing on same server on op-team a day, seeing you rushing me with you're knife and just shoot you. BTW i usaly play with my squad, you known TEAMWORK the main intent of the mod, so you might stab one or two, but you will get shot soon after the first are dead.

Head over to the CF forums and tell them to remove the knife because you didn't use it when you served and see what reaction you get.

And we aren't arguing, alot of us seem to not want it removed or altered, you and a handful of others seem to be the only ones that want it removed.

Also no offense but don't try the 'my country has the best trained blah blah blah' ****, really anyone is going to say their troops are the best.

Which doest translate to PR... Engagement rages in city maps coupled with long reload animations makes it a more viable option ingame to knife someone than to reload in quite a lot of situations. Thats just how it is.

It might not be the realistic feature, but it is needed for a number of gameplay mechanics ingame, it should not be removed for the sake of removing it.

Come on guys everyone knows knives are kept in the army to clean your nails during your long waits :mrgreen:

This thread has descended into a hole making it very counter productive.

Thus Locking this before other users get 'hurt' ;)


Edit: Oh and don't forget about the 'picking your teeth' usefulness part also.
