IMO its all positive since i discovered PR, this is how bf2 should have been from the beginning.
I believe the voip and squad system was only put in BF2 for the upcoming PR mod
If that's the case, then EA ballsed that up too, because had they known better they would have implemented vehicle voip too, so I didn't crash my chopper and get called a 'noob pilot' because I was busy spamming 'bail out' to the retards in the back.Lindahl wrote:I believe the voip and squad system was only put in BF2 for the upcoming PR mod![]()

You have to tell them to bail out near X, not actually take them to location X. And when they're like "Negative, take us to X." You have to be like "If you don't get out, I'm going to turn this thing around and go back home!" That should work every time.Heskey wrote:If that's the case, then EA ballsed that up too, because had they known better they would have implemented vehicle voip too, so I didn't crash my chopper and get called a 'noob pilot' because I was busy spamming 'bail out' to the retards in the back.
I love that.
"Take us to X"
"X is hot, I'll take you nearby"
*Nearby X*
"Bail out"
"Negative. Take us to X!"
"Fiiiiiine..."
*At X, getting shot to shit*
"BAIL OUT! BAIL OUT! BAIL OUT! BAIL OUT! BAIL OUT!"
*Squad sits in the back shitting themselves and refuse to get out as chopper is ripped to shit by bullets, eventually blown up*
"OMG NOOB PILOT!"

You are kind of extreme here... 1st CAS can take VERY long in PR... second, you DO realize online battles in ARMA 2 are pretty much unlimited in size right?Cassius wrote:I have good hopes that publishers will take lessons from PR. But I am not holding my breath. Operation flashpoint ARMA I II Operation flashpoint II they were heading in a good direction, but failed to deliver as online games with their buggy netcode and quite limited player number.
I would love to see a PR with the size of ARMA II, where CAS jets take more than 10 sec. to reach the combat zone after take off.
I think it tickles something primeval since man started to form packs to take on something mammut sized and then each other.
My last info was 52 players max, but I posted a question about this on a game community that plays arma 2 and they confirm that it is unlimited in theory and 60-70 players a number servers can handle realistically.goguapsy wrote:You are kind of extreme here... 1st CAS can take VERY long in PR... second, you DO realize online battles in ARMA 2 are pretty much unlimited in size right?

It might 'look like', but if you actually play it you'll notice the significant differences.DaKillerFox wrote:BC2 looks just like MW2, but with a few extras like squads, tanks and airplanes. It looks like it plays the same and everything, with the 100 bullets before you die, the blood on my monitor when getting hurt, but I'll live for another 10 mins if I don't get shot again in the next 30 secs. It looks like chaos and madness with everyone running around like chickens with their heads cutoff...
I second that Gunner! PR also forced me into getting a headset, and then it became a social event, joining clans, making friends. My other FPS gaming skills have benefited from my experience with PR. The game has become a benchmark for me, not just for my PC, but also in gameplay and tactics.....the perfect blend of shooter/military sim/combined arms/etc.Gunner4712 wrote:I find myself better at all FPS's now solely based on how demanding PR is in respects of teamwork, and whatnot.
