You REALLY shouldn't have any problems running anything the bf2 engine can throw at you with that system.

Might be that theres more than just performance intensive maps going on here.

it's brilliant! Just because this is a mod for BF2 doesn't mean it should have the same system demands as BF2 from however many years ago.

If you get fps / stuttering problems, try turning down the lighting effects and shadow to improve performance.

Actually, I have the same problem. It feels quite laggy, whereas the previous versions worked out great.

Only place on Lashkar I get a huge FPS loss is the cornfields and other fields, and generally I noticed a drop in the heavily grass areas too, but that's what you get for having a well-made map with lots of detail. ;)

System Specs:

i7 920 overclocked to 3.8ghz
ATI HD 5870
6 gigs of Tri-channel DDR3 1600mhz.

Left number is the fps I think. Fraps has an fps meter as well.
Use the game.lockfps 0 command to allow the fps meter to measure more than 100 fps.

+1

I agree that the game isnt smooth on some maps. (while game setting maxed +8xAA)(btw I never tried to play at low settings)
but its obvious that the game have problems about its engine.

my spec:
intel QuadCore8200 @2.33
4gb 1066ddr2 ram
1gb 9800Gt

As said before, the first number is your FPS, the second number is something along the lines of "milliseconds between screen refreshes" or something like that... basically, if you dont know, dont worry about that number so much as the first one ;)

Played it years on all high, lashkar valley as soon as I look towards the end of the map ~ 200 to 500 meters from the edge, it gets to 5 FPS or so..

I heard for this mod few days ago when someone created a thread about it on other forum,so i downloaded the latest files and impatiently waited for password to install it,so after installing it today,i went directly to coop to try it,and i am surprisingly getting major fps drops/lag,i am running game on Windows7/E6550/ATI 3850/2 GB ,so i don't think i should have those problems with this setup :? ??: I mean its not best rig around but it does the job,so i tried few things,i updated the PB for BF2,than i unistalled game,i even decreased graphical settings and still, its the same shit, anyone can help ?

Not every 1 can afford a high-end PC

0.9 has made my FPS drop ALOT, I used to play fine on medium, about 70 FPS, now I play at <15....

I have a triple Core Processor, and an up to date everything apart from gfx card, which isn't particularly "old" just not brand new.

Well, if you're busy spending for the other two, you might as well finance me too!

This is the same as for me. 60-90 FPS as a general rule on MED settings have now become 25-40 FPS with this new patch (Gaza in the city is really bad, and Falluja is undoubtedly much worse than before). The content is a thrill but the game is almost unplayable now on my old settings. Will now try turn them to the lowest to see if I can get decent performance again.
