On which maps are jets avaiable right at round start ? I assume quinling is one. Are there other maps ?

Quinling is the only one at the moment unless you make a custom map and put it in your levels folder or join a co-op that has been running for a while.

Re: Aircraft training, which map.
I'm working on an aircraft training map, featuring all aircraft types and instant re-spawns. I'm working on it now, and I'm hoping I'll be able to release it in the next few days. We may run it on a passworded server, but if not it will still be possible to train with friends via hamachi.

Re: Aircraft training, which map.
Can you download the training maps of 0.87 and put them in the local folder or something like that ? Would you have Kashan training 64 that way ?

Single player is much better than a training server imo. The aircraft spawn very often. maybe not instanly, but fast enough to get alot of flight time in. Plus you get actual targets and bot-jets to fight. I'd recommend Kashan. you get a fighter and a bomber, large map layout etc...

ohh noes
well i think having them respawn later prevented newbies from running and taking the jets

Afaik all the aircraft in PR Co-op mode and Single player handle differently to standard PR to allow the bots to fly them. Co-op mode is great for infantry, and probably vehicle training, but it is not suitable for flight training. Single player made does not change the asset and player spawn times or asset quantities and types, so again its not really suitable for training.

I can tell you from experience that if you fly the american jets on kashan it is exactly as if you were flying on a deployment server... Dont fly the MEC ones as they are made for Bots as space says...space wrote:Afaik all the aircraft in PR Co-op mode and Single player handle differently to standard PR to allow the bots to fly them. Well done.
Sounds really interesting. I think I might have to join that one when it's up.

Well I just hope that if I come in at a bad angle the afterburner will get me out of it.

Will this be available to all clans to put on their locked passworded servers?space wrote:I'm working on an aircraft training map, featuring all aircraft types and instant re-spawns. Yes, the jets in the hangars are the MP ones, the ones on the airfield are tweaked for AI use.Elektro wrote:Edit! Okay apperantly some of the jets are just messed up lol while those that spawn in the hangars are standard

Re: Aircraft training, which map.
Can we get a DEV to clarify any answers here? The vehicles seem to spawn much faster than in multiplayer. maybe just because there are more of them?

Kashan Desert spawn timesbls5782 wrote:The vehicles seem to spawn much faster than in multiplayer. maybe just because there are more of them?
AAS normal jets: 20 minutes
COOP normal jets: 5 minutes
COOP bot jets: 1 minute
Moving bot targets is an advantage, but COOP doesn't have the variety of assets that training mode had. The bot-jets are far more maneuverable so if you're training with the normal jets you're at a disadvantage in dogfights.bls5782 wrote:Single player is much better than a training server imo. Re: Aircraft training, which map.
A little guide to get normal Aircrafts in a coop game.
Go to Battlefield 2/mods/pr/levels/kashan_desert.
Make a copy of the server.zip for a backup.
Open the original server.zip.
Go to GameModes/gpm_coop/64.
Open the GameplayObjects.con with Notepad.
Edit vehicle spawns:
Remove the _sp to get a normal multiplayer aircraft.
You can also change it to any vehicle you want when you know the exact name like "us_the_chinook".
Decrease the numbers to get a lower spawntime. (measured in seconds)
