OK. Let's do a praise corner then :-P

Hope your planning is going well. Already selling advertising space? ;)

I thought that you might want to include a "meet the community" area with results of community polls, interviews of players asking them how they found out about PR, how long they have been playing, favorite release, a memorable moment while playing, their usual role on the battlefield and what they would add to the mod regardless of it actually being possible.

If the people currently involved in this could please get in touch with me asap, I'd like to chat via PM and/or another medium about this project...

Mumble, not so much as I'm not at home with access to my mike. I'm on xFire right now though...

Well, I'll admit that I'm just replying without reading more than the first two posts, but:

find legal protection for the magazine
otherwise you're all gonna end up with a lot of problems. ;-)

Creative commons copyright is a good starter I'd suggest, but you'll need a website to validate it.

Additionally, While I'm not interested in being a part of the magazine staff, I may be interested in submitting the occasional freelance tactics piece. Is this possible?

Copyright isn't a registerable interest. As long as the work is an original expression of ideas, it should attach.

Depending on the quality and content of your work, yes.

At the moment what we are doing is pooling the staff, getting a certain amount we need to fill certain positions, and applying them to said positions in respect to what they would like to do. We have already recieved quite a few aplications in regards to 'tactics writeups' so it seems it will be quite competitive when getting a piece.

And yes, this does mean that not everybody will get a turn, survival of the fittest per se.

I am resource manager, not the coordinator or the boss who puts it all together, however I would strongly suggest a page where we can have people not staffing the magazine who can put in a short writeup.

While I am not applying myself, want to wish you the best in your project.

As someone who studied Graphic Design (and somewhat bombed), hope you don't scrape the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the design aspect. Too many online niche mags disregard this part.

yes, that sounds fair enough. I imagine at this point the magazine is going to be swarmed with tactics submissions from the more established players of the PR forum.

good luck with the start-up :-o

Be aware that this is not dead.

Myself and L4gi are on exams at the moment, and we are still open for staff applications.

For the moment we have not received as much interest as we may need, so if there isn't enough people willing to join the staff then this project will unfortunately die.

(consider this a friendly bump for those who are interested in joining)

Well I wish you good luck with recruitment. I guess it's best to gather your staff before doing to much actual work so, in case the project never takes off, you will not have wasted too much time. Hope you make it though. Would be interested to see at least one issue emerge.

That is the plan. We have relieved apps from quite a few people who would be beneficial, and in a week or so the ball should get rolling.

All quiet on the R-MAG front for now, however.

2. Newest Russian APC (5 symbols)

Or a wordsearch?
