Better view of the player model on first person
What about letting the player seen his own corpse? Just like in games such as Crysis, FEAR and ArmA II? I think its probably impossible on the BF2 Engine, but... Who knows?

Now, serious, this should not be a high priority thing for the DEV's to do, but it would still be bloody nice to see it. Ok, let me guess... Thread Closed?

Re: Better view of the player model on first person
Not necessarily. I would like to see the ability to see more of my body.... Like my feet and stuff. =) But probably impossible due to the way first person mode works... Which is why stuff seems out of wack when you are close to it. Example, get into a humvee. Sit in the front seat. Then have someone climb on the top and crawl towards you on the hood. THEYRE HUUUUUUGE.
=D
But I do like seeing legs and feets and things...... But i guess using the style of first person mode that BF2 used..... we will fail?

When you die, the "camera" in BF2 follows your killer. When he's hiding somewhere, you immediately have an idea of where he is. It also let's you see what is around you, you could even spot enemies. To prevent those things from happening, a black screen was put in.
And first person, you only have two arms.. that's basically it, no way to change that I'm afraid.

When you die in BF2, you can also see your body in 3rd person IIRC. Could the 3rd person camera not be welded to the corpses face?[R-DEV]AfterDune wrote:When you die, the "camera" in BF2 follows your killer. Then the level of detail wouldnt be anywhere near to this 1p camera...Sgt.Smeg wrote:When you die in BF2, you can also see your body in 3rd person IIRC. Could the 3rd person camera not be welded to the corpses face?
It would be nice but i dont mind if i cannot see my legs, there are more important things to do...

Surely moving the camera out of the chest and adding in some legs to 1p weapon exports would somewhat allow this?

As I already said, this should not be considered a priority. But its cool anyway.ChizNizzle wrote:Then the level of detail wouldnt be anywhere near to this 1p camera...

maybe when you get injured you fall down and see your arms like in Rainbow Six Vegas 2?
that would be cool instead of the boring injured screen maybe have the ability to crawl toward cover

I remember a dev saying that you cannot use the BF2 engine to see your own kit, just like how its impossible to see your body when you look directly down on the X axis.
it would be a cool addition though.

Seeing your feet/legs/body if you looked down would be sweet.
