HAT kit Zoom Capable
the HAT kit should have the ability to Zoom 2X or 4x since it already has a small zoom to give it a greater persision attack on farther targets..
since at farther distances it makes it incresingly more difficult to keep a straight target on a small object espeiclay when all you see is a couple of pixels instead of a detailed object it is sometimes very hard to not Hit the ground 30 feet infront of the target instead of the intended target.

Re: HAT kit Zoom Capable
sources to your claims, if something do not have zoom irl, it most likely wont get it in PR
and overall, any sources highly increase weight of your suggestion

Standard AT missile, no. But they can be tweaked, so it is possible(irl). I think a HAT(like Javelin) does have the abillity to lock on targets(standard kits - irl), but it will be a nightmare for armor in PR....alberto_di_gio wrote:is it possible AT missile can lock to lazed targets? (irl too?)

yes the ability to lock on would have to come with a differnt type of weapon ... the SRAW doesnt lock on

well..if it is irl I support it. of course the its effect on the gameplay can be discussed but at the end isn't that pr?iAllex wrote:Standard AT missile, no. Re: HAT kit Zoom Capable
the only ingame surface based AT missile i can remember, which might have lock on features is LAHAT
there are lots of compromises with reality to benefit gameplayof course the its effect on the gameplay can be discussed but at the end isn't that pr?
do you mind to list them? But they can be tweaked, so it is possible(irl)

things like this starts straying in to Javelin territory
Personally I'd prefer javelins to TOWs, but then again the stationary tradeoff is probably for the best.

It is in-fact a guided weapon.. Just not in-game.

well, Read, its not exactly a lock-on and not even guided, it flies straight to calculated point and if target changes direction or speed it will miss and there is no way to correct it in-flight

Right, it's guided, just like I said.[R-CON]DankE_SPB wrote:well, Read, its not exactly a lock-on and not even guided, it flies straight to calculated point and if target changes direction or speed it will miss and there is no way to correct it in-flight

how about it can be used by one man, shot from anywhere, do not miss and has effective range of 75 m to 2.500 m[R-CON]DankE_SPB wrote:what so special there? effect is same as from any other HEAT projectile

range is shorter- 2000m(as of may 2007, info from technical manual for it, MARINE CORPS TM 09397B-12/1A)
2.5-3.5 minute cooldown time for night mode is also a limiting thing
its hardly a one man weapon, it weighs ~20-22kg and is quite big, ofc its possible to carry it in one-man way, but i'm sure they have dedicated crew of 2 in the field
its fine weapon, but not something dominating above everything, and like any other weapon has it pros and cons

H-AT's used to have zoom, but it was removed several versions ago since the SRAW and Eryx doesn't have zoom in real life.

Ok, I stand corrected, but iirc the old in-game SRAW had more zoom than that.
