Anti infantry weapons

Post by glowjack177 »

I'm just wondering, is it possible to create specific anti infantry weapons?
And by that I mean stuff like beehive rounds for vechicals or exotic munitions?

Beehive rounds are fired from artillery, do you have sources that modern day armies still use these rounds during fire missions? Remember to source your stuff.

The "beehive round" he is referring to is the M546 APERS-T 105-mm, I don't believe it has been used since Vietnam. It's an extremely brutal weapon.

The Modern Day equivalent would be some form of Air-burst round, like the Bushmaster's airburst round.

Here's another nice anti-personnel round, APERS Tank munition- Old Fashioned cannon Grapeshot, in service as 120mm M1028 Canister

Why do people have to be so specific, does it really matter what "munition" you shoot them with as long as it kills them.

are any of these used widely by any of the factions currently in game? remember, this is project reality not project 'exotic munitions'.

Airburst rounds (area attack)
Canister tank rounds
-what else is specifically anti-infantry?

nothing needs to be anti infantry because tanks/artillery/bullets kill infantry fine as it is, we're suggesting reducung the effectiveness of one ammo type/round so that the shooter has to be using infantry specific rounds and irl this isnt really the case.
