Question
Just wanted to know if you guys were planning on implementing some special forces in the game such as Green berets or navy SEAL's? Would defo be a ton more interesting than regular army/marines.

Re: Question
Or there was this book about the guy who made Seal Team six he talked about when he was in Nam as a Seal he saluted his officers by giving them the middle finger.

the best book i've ever read. amazing.Tim270 wrote:(A very good book on the subject is SOG by John L. Plaster)
yeah in EOD i think they were SOG/green beret type. with camouflaged arms and all haha. but yeah, i dunno if they'd fit in with the PR style game play. most SOG teams were like 10-15 men i think, and not all of them were US either. some were CIDG fellas. would be pretty cool to raid a NVA HQ though n blow shit up

I know the kit was (went against convential use and promoted lone wolfing)supahpingi wrote:Special forces are against PR's goal?
If the whole team is "spec-ops" (navy seals/green berets) then there wouldnt be much difference between them and a conventional army (in game wise) except for the fact they'd have a few less assets and slightly different weapons. Other then that they'd be the same Id imagine

Re: Question
i see what you might mean .. maybe limiting one squad only with "SF" kits ... if that can even be done ... or a global limit on the kits ??? ... *shrug* .. since a squad of 6 almost acts out a "SF" unit anyway ? ... interesting

Re: Question
Wich is still against PR's goal, hence we dont have any special forces teams ingame right now.
Having 32 SF vs 32 VC or NVA is pretty unrealistic anyway.
The closest you could probably get to this is having a ARVN or indigenous milita faction with a special forces kit providing an advisory role the the indigenous faction

Re: Question
unless i suppose the 32 player SF team was made up of two 15 man teams, with 2 pilots if the map requires helicopter transport. two SF teams aren't that unrealistic.

Re: Question
I think it's time to put a "special force" kit in PR, you know like with C4 & silenced weapons ,etc.. would be nice ;O
And here's another question : Is there like a posibility to play music like in BF Vietnam ? =D

Re: Question
You cant have it be vietnam and not have special forces (LRRPs, SEALs or Green Berets) they played to big of a role in the war
