I have always noticed that PR is a very very slow paced combat mod. I have some suggestions on how to improve this.
These suggestions only have to do with Assets and Ticket ratios for quicker paced combat.
First off the vehicles, Currently all atack aircraft and Tanks are 20 minute spawns.
1. Make all atack chopperrs 10 minute spawns. All Jets 10 minutes as well.
2. Make all tanks 10 minutes and APCs 5 minutes.
Now some of you might say this will make the rounds end quicker since teams will be losing assets at a quicker pace, ANSWER to this is to increase the ticket ratios on every map by about 150 tickets, including insurgency. This will make the games last as long as they do now but you will have a sense of faster paced combat.
Also On insurgency , They would have to increas weapon caches from 7 back to 10 or 12.

PR never had a problem with being too slow, it's had a problem with being too fast

PR is desined to be a slow paced game and the Community whants and loves this... The thing you're proposing is one step back thorwards BF2 Vanilla.

The problem is if you make assets spawn very fast they lose importance/value.
I think its fine as it is, moreover its map layouts that cause long rounds.

powerful assets spawing fast is bad, the crews don't take as much care of them.
If anything I'd like to see all vehicle spawntimes increased by about 1/3
short spawntime = don't matter that you die, you will get your action reward soon again anyway
long spawntime = you take care because you don't get your vehicle back quickly, and the enemy get a big reward for destroying you - a powerful asset.
especially with helis and jets etc...they are very powerful.
imo PR's had a wide range of paces, and .9 has the best pace so far.

PR has always tried to slow things down and almost never speed things up. Thats the whole idea. Real combat is very slow, with intermittent periods of high intensity. Project Reality seeks to emulate this, and does in my humble opinion a very good job.
