I was just thinking, since PR has always something new and special to offer in their updates, there could be a night map. For example that could be great in insurgency.
This requires night scopes, night vision and some king of combat lighting. Night map would force all players to work as a team to avoid problems such as friendly fire and stuff. No one could be lone wolf in night map...
So please, tell me your opinion.

Re: Night map
Hello mate please remember to search before suggesting thing
Night maps are FUBAR if you want to use NVGs, everything just goes wrong with statics turning black etc.
you can have dawn/evening scenarios, but night just aint gonna happen unless we can think of a workaround.
Maybe Mosquil's FLIR/thermal vision stuff might come to something in this area, but for now, there is no progress.

Re: Night map
IIRC, there are no night maps in BF2v, if that is what you mean.PLODDITHANLEY wrote:They worked fine on VBF what was it the night time airport one....Wierd.
BF2:SF (Special Forces) has night maps (not that I've played it). BF2:SF uses a different *.exe meaning more things are capable. I think attempts have been made to hack parts of the SF coding into PR.

Re: Night map
BF2:SF used differing shaders to BF2.
As Rudd says, statics etc look like shit when you fire your weapon, but this is only on nvidia cards.
Also, this has been discussed many times again of late, funny how it comes in waves

Re: Night map
well, I will add something.
It is possible to get a non-bugged night map...
but it would have only overgrowth, strangely overgrowth doesn't get the bug.
So...a map like Qinling would probably be ok, or op snow storm
its on my to-do list...for fun, not necessarily for complete public consumption.

Re: Night map
Night maps have been discussed before. There are very clear and evident problems with them. The mentioned work arounds are being discussed by the powers that be. If and when this results in a working night map i'm sure there will be an announcement.
But for now, search before you post please.
