Civi mob viable?

Civi mob viable?

I remember a person takes about 10-15 rocks to kill last time I tested on bots.

So, is it viable to form a squad of 4-5 civies and just stone the coalition soldiers to death?

Is rock going to change the ROE at all?

They'll all spawn specialist and shotgun the civies

I've gotten kills as a civi on Basrah using only stones. A civi mob has no trouble stoning coalition troops to death, and if they don't have shotguns they basically have to choose between running and dying.

Sure its viable, happen in the real world where the civilian population rebels armed forces that are under struck ROE out of an area. If your guy is hurt then sometimes lethal force is required.

Play with a few squads that have used this tactic and watch who well PR like to role play.

Take the punishment as a trial time :-P

So you can kill civ's with shotgun's? with out any penalty?

yep, think of it as a beanbag round. The specialist is not so lame after all is he :-P

From the newly updated manual
Shotguns are deadly when used in close quarters. They can also be used to
breach locked doors. Insurgents shot with them count as being arrested. This is
intended for cases where civilian collaborators hide in hard to reach spots.

the difference is that 99% of the civis throwing stones in reality would gtfo the second a .50 from a broning m2 would snap beside their ear (that sound kinda awesome :P )

wait so the army can shotgun civs and not get a penalty. do the civis still have tht mad long respawn timer?

I found myself in a civi sqaud, I had to alt tab to check on the exact info in the manual:

You can use your medic bag, but not resuscitate or epipens, if you are shot out of ROE no special kits for ten minutes ... worth knowing I think.

Think of it this way if you know the ROE better than the enemy he WILL loose tickets.

I think it's quite possible, just if you don't run into people who are itching to get into some combat and decide to shoot everything up.

I personally either use my Shotgun or just go up to them (Since they can't sprint very long) and try to arrest them, a few shots with the arrest and you got an arrested insurgent :D

So true but at least civi is playable now again.

On topic: its viable and fun but only 1 civi per squad is actuly needed

Hmm, this seems interesting even though the thread got a little offtopic at times.

I will attempt this in a game sometime (as soon as I get my internet back...).

ive killed with one rock before. i was dicking around and throwing it a squad member, killed him one shot.

most insurgency maps the squads will have a specialist or two which would quickly mow down a mob.

the rock throwing is slow and takes forever.
