You could pretend a foxhole is a crater.

Wouldn't this lag server quite badly?

the only good crates are made via mappers, one of my projects features an area thats been hit hard by artillery, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'm aiming for something like the point du hoc map from FH2

Re: Craters
Thread merged with the most recent on the subject in the suggestion forums. Pending developer feedback it may be closed but i'm leaving it for the moment.
Edit: Thread locked for several reasons. One, you posted this outside of the suggestions forum; suggestions go in the suggestions forum. Two it is a re-suggestion and has been discussed in the threads linked by Okita.
Finally, it likely is not possible anyway and I am reliably informed that the way it was tried before on PoE2 was not exactly perfect.
Either way, not worth it.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
