"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Re: Crash to desktop!
Try to put your texture to medium, the engine that PR is using is already stretched very far alot more then it was designed for, so it can happen that the game shuts down because of memory shortage or whatever, you can also try to play in windowed mode then you will most likely get a error message.Gustav wrote:Hi all,
Just got the game install and that worked fine. I started my first game online and as soon as I the clicked squad assignment my game crashed to desktop. This has happened a couple of times and I don't know what the deal is. I usually play ArmA 2 at everything set to high so it shouldn't be a hardware problems but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.

I found this sentence quite funny and since this is a war game forum I will put it here. No offense to the french just a good laugh.

i guess as the only canadian who posted here no one got my joke :'(
On another note, a lot of people have this problem, i do believe the proven solution is to lower your textures to medium. also make sure you're running on minimum 1280x1024(?) not sure if thats the right one but anything below that point crashes.

Re: Crash to desktop!
I have the same issue. I click on a squad to join, and immediately when I go back to kit selection it crashes. Happened the last 4 times I tried to join. Is it a server problem or the game?Gustav wrote:Hi all,

I did put my textures on medium, and it hasn't helped (although I realize I can run them on Medium instead of just low. Bump. Any suggestions? Hasn't been working. I reinstalled all the patches and completely redownloaded Project Reality.

Try changing your refresh rate to 60Hertz.
