Well done and thanks guys 0.92 is shaping up well, not huge but some great new things!
I hope you'll still leave some land rovers in though....
I had the same thought. Has the video been captured using lowered settle-times, so it's faster to shoot or will those be ingame times (Which would maybe make the Marksman a little bit strong)?Mechanic wrote:Nice, but Im surprised the svd hit anything cause usually there is a ridiculous exaggeration in scoped weapons with where your aiming and where the bullet hits. this isnt a thread about deviation, but your doing it wrong.Mechanic wrote:Nice, but Im surprised the svd hit anything cause usually there is a ridiculous exaggeration in scoped weapons with where your aiming and where the bullet hits. The other guy was being a bit of a weener...[R-DEV]Masaq wrote:You can take a hike for a few days for that stunt, buddy. The team don't ask much but they do ask that you don't mouth off at 'em.
With 3D scopes, you won't need back-up sights that much... and i think that they'r pretty hard to make, and there is alot of other work out there.Excavus wrote:Are we also going to get backup sights and a deviation indicator? So far this stuff looks juicy and awesome. You devs are doing a great job with this mod.
In real life, you feel that you are ready to shoot. You can't simulate that in a game, that's why it is needed.iAllex wrote:With 3D scopes, you won't need back-up sights that much... and i think that they'r pretty hard to make, and there is alot of other work out there.
About the deviation idicator, I was always, and will always be against it. You have to know your weapon, not to rely on a sistem that tells you when it's best to shoot... that's just my oppinion.
If they should or should not be in the game, it's up to the devs.
Yeah it did, but I believe with a lot (or all) of the marksmen and sniper rifles are going to still be "tunnel vision"-ized sorta with not peripheral, but thats an answer from the devs. Also, the small aperture was explained in an earlier post.... here it is:Kill001 wrote:oh god not this discussion again
on topic: did the AK in the video have a 3D scope? The overall size of the scope circle aperture thing looks smaller than the current version

What looks bad about the scope? The reticle? The model itself?
The 0.9 SVD is the same that was featured in vBF2:SF.
It was not a particularly beautiful model.
Furthermore, the new SVD is technically more accurate -- I have yet to see an image of any military using a scope with a 42mm objective (Generally PSOP, Bulgarian scopes made for export.) as featured on the vBF2 model.
The new model features a PSO scope with a 24mm objective lens and a gray hammer finish, which is pretty ubiquitous in regards to SVD optics.

It looks so dirty and small compared to the gun itself![R-CON]ReadMenace wrote:Maybe you could take another shot at articulating your opinion?

There already is an SVD kit available for Insurgents on Fallujah, Ramiel, Karbala and Basrah.Turner wrote:will the SVD be used for the Insurgents? In fallujah the Marines are kinda overpowered, maybe it would help balance things out.
We might see more people using it now with this update.Turner wrote:Oh, Ive never seen anyone use it, and im never an insurgent so... didnt know.
No. Video's are never captured with different deviation values.Nagard wrote:I had the same thought. Has the video been captured using lowered settle-times, so it's faster to shoot or will those be ingame times (Which would maybe make the Marksman a little bit strong)?
