No trolling, those are the arguments i've heard on servers. just proving a point sort of. of course two channels are better for actual gameplay

Personally I do not like mumble to have one channel.

Soldiers can keep talking down using handsigns we can not.
Everybody speaks the same language when the fight becomes close quarters, its difficult to tell apart who is shouting out orders or warnings.

I would still like to join that one mumble channel event. Id like to see more players in general make use of the mumble program and servers provided for each and every server.

We can, we can type ! For exemple, if the soldier want to pass a mensage, he release his weapon and shake his hands to "say" something. In game, we release the mouse and use the hand to type the mensage.
[R-DEV]OkitaMakoto:"Cheers, you're the man, Okita"
[R-DEV]Rhino:"I in fact got kicked from a server for tking."
Hitperson:"well done, treasure it forever."
[R-DEV]Adriaan:"Damned classy Roma, if I may say so."
[R-DEV]Chuc:"Pro man, pro."
(yes, it was about me)
[R-MOD]BloodBane611:"Romagnolo, you definitely deserve a LOL award for that."

Not even remotely the same thing. Just read this thread to find out why 2 channels is superior and 1 channel is a waste of time.

1 Channel - 177
2 Channel - 227

So not that big of a difference really :)

Remember this thread is not about which mumble is better, it's about whenever you would like to see such event or no. You can discuss what mumble is better on the link provided by Tartantyco. :)

Thanks for everyone's input! You will see our event in the events section shortly!

Going back to the main question, I think a sufficient enough of the people who play PR would love a 1 channel mumble event. This topic has gone into a ***** fight for 1 channel vs 2 channel I swear lol. I say they both have their upsides and downsides, but who's stopping two events happening, and this is for a 1 mumble channel event, not two, make your own 2 channel event I guess?

It's not a popularity contest, it's about actually using or not using mumble. 1 channel fails miserably.

No way, too much room for exploitation.

well not having voip is just bad, i remember when the voip server was down on UKWF it was horrible you could not communicate correctly with your squad mates, you couldnt warn anyone or be a spotter for your squad, also IRL soldiers have radios so voip is like a radio
There is only one unforgivable lie That is the lie that says, This is the end, you are the conqueror, you have achieved it and now all that remains is to build walls higher and shelter behind them. Now, the lie says, the world is safe.? The Great Khan.

40k is deep like that.

As an event? Sure sounds fun. But in general I prefer 2 voip channels on mumble.

Wait,what's the game again?Oh,yeah,"realitymod"!
1 channel mumble will be great. But if the developer don't get rid of the in-game viop and replace it with mumble, people will still use the sucking voip and team speak.Just make pr a legend please!

An only Mumble event would be good, if all participiants would use it, and no other programme would be used. (no Teamspeak no xfire)
Maybe not even ingame chat...???
