Hey.
I recently set up a second monitor and PR seemed to still work fine. I played Fallujah with most graphics settings on high, as usual.
But when I joined a game of Ramiel later, all the streets and hills were transparent and white, and it's like this on other maps too:
Anyone know what this is and how to solve it? My video card stays at the same temperature as it usually does.
I got 4 GB RAM and an ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB.
By the way, when I was playing Korengal earlier I found an Insurgent AA kit in the bottom of a cave, but it seems it is impossible to get there. lol
When asking for help,
please remember to post your:
O/S,
systems specks,
network setup
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.
Some things that come to mind you can try.
Update drivers..... had to say it.
Are you sure your video card is getting enough power? Check it.
Set the textures in game to medium.( seams to work with Vista)
I'm not sure why this makes a difference with high-end cards that can run games like Crysis
on high quality settings with no problem at the same res,
but for some reason it can matter in Project Reality.
Turn off AA. Run in the highest res your monitor and video can handle.
If your running two monitors off one video card, try turning down the specks on the other monitor, IE lower res and run @ 256 color
and oh , i'd update the drivers if i were you . its most likely a driver problem so check that out on either ATI or Nvidia (depends on what your using) .
Thanks for all the replies.
I think using Battlefield cleaner fixed the problem, and I can play as normal again. Thanks a lot!
Edit: Disregard that. Just joined a game of Kashan and the graphics went crazy again. I think the problem comes and goes randomly.
I have updated drivers. I think. ATI's website is sort of hard to understand. But I checked if all drivers were up to date through Win, and they were.
I'm using Windows 7 build 7100, and my computer specifications are:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
4 GB RAM
ATI Radeon EAH4850
(Need anything else?)
I have now set anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering to "application-controlled", and will try playing again tomorrow. It's an AA kit btw, Snares.
How do I turn down the specs on only one monitor?
Thanks, again. Good night.

Right click on your desktop .
Choose personalize from the bottom of pop up window
Choose display settings from bottom of new window.
From the new window that opens you can adjust the resolution and color depth( from 32 highest to 16 medium)
Be sure you have the right monitor selected before you adjust anything
Click on the 'identify monitors' button
A large # 1 and #2 will appear on each screen.
click on the icon of the # you wish to adjust.
Adjust and apply to save.
Good luck
I had the same problem but then found that if you change the Resolution of the game to the same as your desktop and turn Anti - Aisiling off the ground will be shown. Please tell me if this helps anyone.

^ Thanks SO Much... Your trick worked FIRST time, and the problem hasn't returned. The only loss I have now - I can no-longer ALT-TAB out of the game. If I try, everything goes screwy, and I can't seem to return to the game again. Can only bring-up TaskManager to kill the process, and load it all over again
Even then, the only reason I can do ANYTHING outside the game, seems to be because I have dual-screen running (with Firefox luckily in the 2nd screen).
the issue with my pc is that everytime i try to run certain graphic intense application, just after few moments the desktop disappears & a blue screen stating a fatal error as well as memory dump appears instead. i tried updating my graphics as well as each & every hardware component drivers to the latest available, but to no avail. i also updated my bios to the latest one but still no good news. the same problem persists when i try to render my scene in maya11, few moments after the render initializes, the desktop screen rips apart as if the video went dead & the same blue screen appears, restarting my pc. i have tried reinstalling my os quite many times now(booting from dvd, formatting the partition, reinstalling), but after a while the error repeats. other stuffs like surfing, music, watching full hd videos, games such as cod2, cod mwf2, cod5, rail sim, ship sim, bia hell's highway work excellently. i keep downloading movies & tuts for days & my pc remains running without any hitches. this problem started just after, a few months ago when i had to use system restore. apart from this my pc works fine. kindly provide me with a suitable solution.

Run a memory test on your ram.
Double check you have the ram installed in the correct slots (channel)
Most motherboards have the channels color coded. Check manual.
Chips should be in same color slots. Try switching ram chips to the other chips slot. ( chip 1 blue to chips 2 blue slot,chip2blue to blue 1)
Check timing on each chip to make sure they are the same.
Did you buy the chips together as a matched pair?
i had previously on some occasions checked for memory errors & found none. my mobo sports an onboard "memory ok" button which when depressed rectifies the memory recognition errors. although i didn't bought all the four memory modules at the same time(both g.skill, 2X2gb F3-10666CL9-2GBNQ at the time of purchase & 2X2gb F3-10666CL9-2GBRL few months hence), their latency timers & clocks are exactly the same. my pc's system window displays the correct amount of ram. i've checked their sync capability through pcwizard 2010.
