Suppressed too easily
I've noticed that the suppression system is a bit off/unfair. Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems like each bullet that lands near you gives like a...2(?) second blur. Which means that as long as you're shot at once every...2 seconds, you get pinned. P The bots on coop mode especially seem to take advantage of this.
IMO, there should be a certain (reasonably high) rate of fire required to keep the suppression going. This would encourage a few squad members to keep fire on an enemy position while the rest flank..making the gameplay more realistic.
I apologize if this should've been in the suggestions thread. Wasn't quite sure.

Re: Suppressed too easily
well the bots run in to your fire like sheep so consider this a balancing technique
I like how it is now tbh, bullets are dangerous things and I like that the game encourages me to avoid them

Re: Suppressed too easily
I think the devs did the best they could to replicate a tricky real life situation. With medics and respawns I don't fear death at all in PR but the suppression effect makes me keep my head down and move... but yeah, bots are ******** with it.

Re: Suppressed too easily
There would definitely still be suppression, it would maybe even be more extreme. Since the enemy has to lay down more fire to suppress, that'd mean there are more bullets flying over your head.
Think being pinned by this
instead of the usual this

If you receiving accurate fire on your position, it does not really matter if it's a single shooter with a semi-auto rifle or a firing squad. It seems to be fine just as it is right now/

Supression is fine as it is now, It doesn't actually effect your deviation so you can still shoot once the blur dies down.

Re: Suppressed too easily
This, if anything the suppression effect needs to come in earlier and longer imo as currently it doesn't seem too effective in getting people to put their heads down.[R-DEV]bosco wrote:If anything, not enough suppression!![]()

oh god no, not more suppression. If it isn't working for you you're probably doing it wrong, shooting the cover works, shooting over it does not.

Nothing worse than seeing 2 guys stand in the open exchanging shots without flinching.I think enough so you can barely return fire and have to run for cover if fired on first.

Re: Suppressed too easily
if they were shooting at each others feet or if there was a wall behind one of them it would work. This is an example of shooting past the person and the suppression 'splash' effect not having an effect.Trooper909 wrote:Nothing worse than seeing 2 guys stand in the open exchanging shots without flinching.I think enough so you can barely return fire and have to run for cover if fired on first.
Or they could be suppressed and firing blind, which I often do in that situation.

The supression time depends on your FPS rate. If u have about 100FPS, i will be gone quick.a0jer wrote:oh god no, not more suppression. If it isn't working for you you're probably doing it wrong, shooting the cover works, shooting over it does not.
But with 20FPS u will have a 10 second supression effect.
So, if u want to have more or less supression time, just adjust ur ingame FPS

Re: Suppressed too easily
How about just making weapons accurate instead of the suppression effect?
If weapons could actually hit anything at ranges more than 5 meters, people would learn that if they stay out of cover, they would die if they are being fired at. As it is now, people just ignore the suppression effect because they know the deviation of the person shooting at them is so high they can't get hit.

I can still take out a person even if I'm suppressed....

Re: Suppressed too easily
careful with that accuracy talk, you'll get all kinds of people in here calling you a MW2 fps noob.
And I think you will find that maximum deviation is much more than the size of a person at 5 meters."If weapons could actually hit anything at ranges more than 5 meters"
