IMHO a big problem with the bike is that people go full speed all the time, just like RL bikes you can go slower?

Well... BLUFOR doesn't drive HMMWVs slowly (actually, at top speed according to Sebastian Junger's "War" and **** Couch's "Chosen Soldier", supposely to have more chances of surviving or dodgin an IED). Do you think the insurgents would cruise around in a bike?
:)

I'm fine with the dirtbike on maps with actual roads, while on places like Fallujah, that's an accident waiting to happen :D
I say maybe add a Quad or two to the maps that already have dirtbikes.

A quad would be my dream vehicle for Insurgents.

lies the bike is a nice asset as i said before the suspension needs some work but its a good asset for getting around as an INS and a good bike for C4 fun

the only reason i used them were to fuck c4 off the back which was lots of fun, but totally unrealistic and addictive, i couldnt look at a bike without abusing the engineer or ied kit. but thats not the problem, it drives like a cheeta on acid.

HMMWV is not a bike....

I do agree that a bike takes to much damage from bumps and little jumps.

Would you drive slow with a bike with an entire enemy army hunting for you? Do you think an insurgent in a clear road like in PR would drive slowly?

You just have to practice a bit and it gets easier once you find the balance between speed, the A/D keys and the mouse. I do agree the damage system is a bit ridiculous. The Sandbox mod did have pretty good bike physics but don't know if we could transfer those over.

It's very rare(at least I hope so) that an engineer kit leaves main.

Doubling the bikes HP should quick fix most issues with the bike... but its most likely still gonna be a 1 way trip vehicle... but at least 1337 sniporz will use them instead of a techie, leaving it abandoned in the middle of know where. Or one can only hope, at least -_-

The only place where I cant seem to handle a bike is archer because of all the jagged roads. You are cruising nicely, then have a slight hop to a lower part of the road and boom. But in all instances where full speed isnt necessary, leaning into corners and slowing down periodically on rough terrain does the trick and allows me to use the bike for an entire round

Yes. I doubled the HP of the dirtbike on Al Basrah II. It's much better and feels more realistic. This is a real good quick fix until it get's overhauled sometimes.

all you will hear is people complaining who can't ride the bike. its a pr vehicle its got a curve. once you learn it you will love it. ive mastered the dirtbike and can powerslide to a stop directly where i want.

*TIP* pulling up and pushing down on the bike does have an effect. you dont go full speed off road irl so why try it in pr? try going a reasonable speed. pull up when going fast into an incline and pushing down going down them. the trick is to keep the tires on the ground as much as possible!

i love the bike.

Dont pull up too hard, it will go into wheelie, and thaths when you will crash.

Have you noobs not played Sandbox? The bike in that mod is perfect for PR.
