-Description:
i just changed my computer system:
i5-760
4gb ram
hd4670 -> gtx 460 (gigabyte build)
€: os: win7 64bit
drivers up to date
note: i didnt have any similar problem with the hd4670, neither do i have any problems in other games with the gtx460 (sc2, arma2, cod4).
the texture layers, models etc of statics seem to render too late - when i am too close.
1) instead of being rendered beyong visual range and then slowly appearing from the fog, statics, such as building and trees, suddenly just pop out of nowhere.
2) texture layers (and most likely other things aswell) render at way too short distances. first layer is until ~200-250meters, then every 50meter another layer appears.
Screenshots / Video:
ImageShack Album - 8 images - muttrah and beirut (no idea how long the keep uploaded)
attachments - basrah
-Tested On:
several multiplayer servers
-map name
muttrah*, beirut*, basrah**
-Video Settings:
tested with all high AA 8X and AA off**, same with all med AA off* and AA 8X.
-Updates:
1) clearing graphic cache didnt work
2) when starting the game, right after it goes to fullscreen, before the bss intro, i see all kind of colors at the bottom third of the screeen.
3) same problem with gtx 470 (Mchristenses)
4) only pr problem, vbf2, sf and aix2 work properly (Mchristenses)

make sure to check your nview options (right click desktop)
and make sure that your AA is application controled..... and If it isn't that it could just be because your at 8XAA... its not really a bug

Not a bug, simply LOD popping.
