That's what "hardcoded" is supposed to mean. But as soon as a DEV said it (probably in response to fastroepz) it became some buzz word among the players who have no idea what they are talking about.

I'd rather have a higher max squad limit and use 4 man squads to achieve the same thing. That and mumble replicating something like ArmA2's ACRE mod (in a simpler, less confusing manner) to make communication with other squads a lot easier.
Also, comms discipline on mumble. I know players are "hard-coded", but come on. Humor me with some proper comms use, use "squad 6 this is squad 2" and "over" and whatnot, and think out what you're going to say before speaking up... even if you screw up every once in a while it's better than hearing "Uhhhhhhhhh... uhh... APC in uhhh... Hotel-wait no Golf Six... keypad Seven... uhhh can we get some help out here?"
inb4 ARMCHAIR GENERAL, I just want people to be more concise and using military radio procedures, even in a dicey manner, helps clear up comms a bit.

that'd be perfect, we can finally have a full section of guys instead of this squad that doesnt really fit the numbers for anything. a fireteam is 2-3 people, a section is 8-14 i have no idea what the guys at DICE were thinking when they decided on 6CCCode wrote:8 or more in 1 squadinfantry would be a lot better

i got another. having different ground surfaces have different effects on vehicles and soldiers.
dont think thats hardcoded. i havnt seen it done, but i dont think the infantry gun cant be used on vehicle windows. i know that when your in a vehicel seat your infantry objects arnt used but im sure that you can code the vehicle to activate a corrisponding weapon. but it wouldnt have deviation, it would be like the vanilla apc and there mightnt be 1p animations. its doable but theres cosmetic complications. i suppose in a way, it is and it isnt hardcoded.Haji with a Handgun wrote:I want the ability to fire my weapon out of the windows of a vehicle I'm sitting in.

Real damage to soldiers for sure.
This isnt on the list, but it should be:
200+ players per server. This mod is great now, but these maps would be freaking REDICOLOUSLY awesome and about 50x more fun and realistic if we could have more players, because lets face it, who the hell throws 32 soldiers onto such giant and critical missions like the ones we do in PR lol

No limitations on server sizes, vehicle capacity, squad sizes, etc.
