If a Mod is good enough. Players will by a game for it. But I agree that it is not always the most profitable way to make money from a game.

Some cool guy made a quote on the "Players Choice - Upcoming Modification" video (skip to 1:36 to see) about it. Anybody know who that was?

congratulations to all Devs teams involved this year. Well done all.

Both mods deserve the award to be honest; they may be polar opposites but that doesn't mean they can't be equals at the same time.

i smell shenanigans i thought we were eligible again.

but certainly well deserved by FH2.

congratulations.

It is no secret that FH2 has a low playerbase in North America. We reallyreally would like it to be as in Europe there, (a couple of well populated servers each night)... It is really sad to see/hear americans in FH2 voIP with ping 300 complaining about getting shot all the time.... So yes; we really would want to boost our playerbase there, don't ask me how to do that though :) (We have the same problem in NZ/AU)

the issue (as i see it) is that the market has been saturated by WW2 games, which unfortunately leads to there being not allot of uncovered ground within the area, whilst these games based in modern theatres have more that players can relate to and also "l33t" toys that everyone and their dog has heard of.

it is unfortunate as FH2 does look to be exceptionally well made.

If PR wasnt using the BF2 engine w/ lame graphics then it would do damn well on store shelves.

ARMAII mod could be the answer... but ARMAII is way to difficult to figure out all the controls for mass appeal.... PR mod team should figure something out.

I actually like the slightly outdated (yet model-wise very detailed) graphics of PR. Shiny graphics attract everyone, but a game that does not have that only attracts people looking for the specific gameplay that it provides.

1. There is already an arma 2 PR mod being developed.
2. Creating a game to sell is a lot of work and doing so on an engine with good graphics costs a lot of money. There is already a PR standalone game being developed on the C4 engine but because it costs a lot of money to develop for popular existing engines the graphics won't be of nextgen quality but who cares because graphics dont make a game.

Please actually read around the forums before you post suggestions like this.

It may take a bit longer to get comfortable with it, but you can immediately start playing the game by simply using WASD and your mouse really, nothing too complicated :) .

Well this is interesting. Saying that he should read the forums before suggesting is interesting coming from you, since you have clearly not read the forums yourself. The engine is more than capable of nextgen grafics and is actually one of the better ones on the market if used properly.
